Great Singapore Sales

The Great Singapore Sales (GSS) has started so have you started your shoppings.  Fashionably yours aka the shopping queen and shopaholic has been shopping non stop at Orchard Road since the GSS preview sales.  Bought my Clarins skincare, a pair of fitflop, an aloe vera memory contour foam pillow, some toiletries and some household items.  I bought what I need.  Must spend wisely and not buy it just because it is on sales.   What have you bought from the GSS ?  feel free to share with me.

For more information on GSS, click  here

Of course, I will be shopping but buying the stuff I need.  However if it is too good a steal like 95% discount, definitely will buy it if it fits my lifestyle.

Happy shopping everyone.

Shoppings and Dinner

Shopping happily on Wednesday with bestie.  Shopaholics at the malls. It was also Isetan Private Sales.  Met bestie at Isetan Scotts.  She bought toys for her nephews while fashionably yours bought a new pair of Guess shades.  My last shade was bought a few years ago, so time for me to buy a new pair for the new decade 2011.

Thereafter we shopped at Wisma Atria.  Fashionably yours bought some toiletries (masks and sunblock)from The Body Shop.  Also bought a new blouse from my favourite Bebe boutique and two sexy long maxi dresses from a shop in basement 1.

We had dinner at our favourite restaurant - Royal Copenhagen at Takashimaya shopping centre level 2.  The staff there recognise us since we are regulars there.  It feels like we are at our 2nd home, feels very welcome, comfortable and warmth.

Click here for our dinner at Royal Copenhagen post and pictures

After we had our dinner, we continue shoppings at Takashimaya and Watsons.  Fashionably yours bought some vitamins from Watsons before we call it a night and head home sweet home.

Feel very happy with my shoppings and dinner.

Last Saturday of October 2010

Today is the last Saturday of October 2010.  In about 7 weeks time, Christmas will be here and in about 8 weeks time, 2011 arrives.  The Christmas decorations are up in Orchard Road now.  It has different colour for different sector.  I saw pink, blue and purple deco. I love the purple deco along Somerset.

Fashionably yours do not enjoy my 2010 so far.  It has been a roller coaster ride so far in 2010 for me.  More tears and sadness than happiness.  Always telling my friends to wake me up when 2010 ended.  Well, I hope 2010 will end with a good note and begin 2011 with a good note for me.  Nevertheless, will let go and let god.

Last but not least, thanking everyone for your support by visiting and reading my blog.  Feel free to come by my blog anytime.  I will try to update my blog whenever possible.

Wishing everyone a fantastic weekend and Happy Halloween.

Cheers *hugs*

Bad Haze

The haze is back to the Lion City. The wind direction has blown the smoke from Indonesia to here.  The farmers are burning their old harvests to create natural fertilizer in order to do new planting.  This haze is affecting fashionably yours.  Last Thursday and Friday, the PSI was above 100.  I was breathless and coughing like mad as I walked along Orchard Road last Friday evening on my way home from work.  I need oxygen tank *LOL*

As a result I fell ill with a very red tonsils from the coughing and nose was blocked.  Seen my company doctor on Monday but the medicines are cheapo and doesn't seem to work.  I did myself a favour today by paying my own money to consult my own family doctor and prescribed me with antibiotics and cough mixtures.  So far, I felt much better after taking 3 antibiotics.  My company doctor only said my tonsils are red but never give me anything for it.  Just gave me lozenges, panadol and cough tablets.  Some other ex company doctor told me they are not allowed to go beyond a certain budget.  They wanted to give you better medicines but are constraint....sigh.....no wonder these ex company doctors told me they opted out of the system once the contract ended.

No wonder when my colleagues and I fell ill, we don't seem to get well so fast, always must go back a few times.  I would rather spend abit more for good medicines coupled with good rest to recover speedily.  Will drink more h20 and rest well to have speedy recovery :)

Haze at Orchard Road when PSI was above 100

So hazy
Did you notice the Christmas deco are up
(work-in-progress though) along Orchard Road?

Now the PSI is about 20. I hope it stays this way or go down further.  I love my clean air and it aids my recovery.

Hospitalisation Leave and Orchard Road Flood

Wow ! there was a flood at Orchard Road this morning but I slept through the heavy downpour and Orchard Road flood.  Fashionably yours was admitted into the hospital for a colonscopy yesterday and just discharged from the hospital last evening.  Given 2 days of hospitalisation leave (yesterday and today).  It was a day surgery procedure.  The sedation of local makes me so goggy yesterday.  Though the gogginess is gone now but my right hand is blue black because of the poking of sedation injection.  I am glad that I am cleared and nothing serious except for piles. Thank God for his blessings. I was worried mad the last few weeks.  Now it is all cleared.  Seems like I am given a new life.

When I woke up around noon today, I received so many messages from friends asking me about the Orchard Road flood.  They thought I was at work at Orchard Road today.  They didn't know I was on hospitalisation leave today.  Is anyone of you get caught in the Orchard Road flood ?  Some told me the flood is like an ocean and some said Orchard Road has been tsunami-ed.  Saw from the news that Hermes, Starbucks and Massimo Dutti stores at Liat Tower are badly damaged, ground level was submerged in the flood.  I think whole stretch of Orchard Road is flood.  Need to row row row your boat along Orchard Road this morning.

Well it has been raining almost the whole day today.  I love this nice and cooling weather.  Very free and easy recuperating at home from my colonscopy.  Feel much better now except the left side of my tummy feels abit crampy.  I think these few days cannot do any vigorous activities and must rest alot.

Eve of CNY Eve

TGIF.  It is gonna be a super long weekend.  Yes the Chinese New Year long weekend.  Today is the eve of Chinese New Year.  Worked half day today since my company let all of us go home early.  Everyone is already in CNY mood at the office and don't feel like working.  Of course we tried to clear our work here and there before the CNY long weekend begins.   Orchard Road was so crowded by noon and we can't wait to get out of Orchard Road.  People are doing their last minute CNY shoppings.  It is also like this during Christmas.  Hope those shoppers got what they want by now from their shoppings.

Fashionably yours did some more marketing today.  These few days, the supermarket is like a war zone. Everyone is snatching for food and alot of stuff are out of stock very soon.  Luckily I have been stocking up my CNY food since last week.  This morning went grocery shopping at the supermarket again to finalise my CNY marketing.  OK now it is all done and packed nicely in my fridge.  Besides marketing, also did a final touched up for my spring cleaning at home.

Yippee ! all done and ready to celebrate CNY.  Let's countdown together to welcome the year of of the Golden Tiger.

Have a fabulous long weekend everyone.

Dinner at Ichiban Boshi

Last two Friday ago, met up with bestie and K-san for dinner at Ichiban Boshi at Centrepoint.  It was nice meeting K-san after so long, about one year ago since we last saw him.  There was no quene formed at the restaurant when we reached there.  We were quickly shown to our table immediately.  The restaurant was not so packed when we reached there but slowly the crowds built up.  Services were abit slow and seem like they were under staff because they took some time to refill our drinks and we need to request for drinks refill instead of them checking our glasses regularly to refill the drinks.  The food was yummy. Bestie feedback that she finds the food served in town  is more delicious compared to the food served in their heartland outlets.

My favourite salmon sashimi
My bento set - miso soup, chawan mushi, rice and oranges
My tamago sushi
Bestie's soup

K-san's ebi sushi
Bestie's chocolate ice cream
K-san's rikyu icr cream

Actually K-san had chasoba (green tea noodles) and some sushi but he ate them too fast before I could take a snapshot of his food.  Fashionably yours skipped the dessert since I find it fattening.  I am very health conscious of what I eat.  The food cannot be too oily and I don't eat fried food much.  My slim figure is all thanks to my diet :))   After we are done with our dinner, bestie and I went shoppings while K-san went home sweet home.

We shopped at Uniqlo at 313 Somerset.  Both of us both a +J jackets.  Love the jackets very much.  Thereafter is home sweet home for us since it was late and most of the shops are closing.  In fact, that day was really a Japanese day for me because I had Japanese cuisine for lunch and dinner.  Feel so Japanese :)

Fashionably yours is feeling so sleepy now and I wanna go to bed.  Good night everyone and sweet dreams.

Ippudo Ramen Restaurant - Mandarin Gallery

Today went to eat Ippudo Ramen at Mandarin Gallery with L-san.  When we reached there, it was not that long quene, so we only quened up for about 20minutes before we were shown to our table.  I like my Shiromaru ramen.  Love the soup base, simple and not that over the top.  L-san had the akamaru ramen which he find abit oily but delicious.  Oishii deshita. I am a happy girl now.  Ippudo Ramen restaurant does not take reservations, so it is a first-come-first-serve basis.

Yuzu Sherbert

The Yuzu Sherbert is on the house because fashionably yours paid using OCBC credit card. The Yuzu Sherbert is very delicious though tasted sour, but I like it.  Had an enjoyable lunch today.  Thereafter we shopped around Mandarin Gallery before we returned back to the office.  I would say we will go back again to eat the ramen provided the quene is not too long.

Fashionably yours is looking forward to part 2 tonight dinner wtih my bestie and our close guy friend.  OMG ! it is so fun fun fun today...TGIF.

Have a nice weekend everyone.

The second day of our retail therapy was fruitful because bestie bought her Ferragamo Vera pump. In fact, I think we bought more shoes this time round.  The first day bestie bought 2 pair of shoes at a good discount and I bought my sandal and a pair of black high heels at a good discount.  We are shoes addict.  We wanted to buy clothes but ended up with more shoes purchased.  We love shoes.  Actually I wanted to buy Ferragamo heels but they do not have my size in the colour I like, so I skipped.  Everywhere is having sales now and so crowded at Orchard Road.  Zara sales has just started so still can shop. I haven't been to Zara sales yet but will try to make time for it...think next week most probably.

On the second day of our retail therapy, fashionably yours bought a nice red dress while bestie bought a nice black blouse.  We had lots of fun and laughters at the fitting room.  One of the lady seek my fashion advise at the fitting room and I happily gave which she appreciated very much. I am glad she trusted me and appreciated my efforts.  It makes my day.  OMG ! I am not only bestie's fashion and stylist consultant, I have new clients now.  I love fashion.

We had dinner at The soup spoon

My mushroom soup

My tofu salad

Have been eating lots of salad of late. I love eating salad and so healthy.  I want to be eco friendly and reduce my carbon footprints on earth.  Therefore, please don't consume so much meat, especially beef.  Let's do our part to save the earth.

This is my shoppings for the last few days
3 boxers from Watson
Fancl wasing powder

Looking back, what have you done in the past 10 yrs ? Have you grown to be a better person? Reflecting time. Happy New Year Eve everyone.

Thanks for the gifts and I like them all.  Very practical gifts.

Our food for the office Christmas Party

Fashionably yours had some white wine at the Office Christmas Party. Simply heaven.  Thanks to big boss for the nice white wine. It was fun chilling with colleagues at the party.

After the party, chillax with Lemon-san at Ya Kun.  We also shopped around Orchard Road. It was both human jam and traffic jam, so we just shopped for a while and rushed home sweet home before the crowds rushed into Orchard Road.

Our drinks and my soft boiled eggs

This is the crowds at Orchard Road on Christmas Eve

Saw this interesting parade while crossing the roads at junction of Ngee Ann City and Paragon

Well, another Christmas come and gone so fast.  Hope everyone had an enjoyable Christmas.  Counting down to Year 2010....6 days to Year 2010.  Time to reflect and make new year resolutions.  I don't make new year resolutions but I only make short term resolutions which is easier for me to achieve.  I like to make to-do lists for the day, week and month.

Alrighty, time for my beauty sleep now.  Sweet dreams and good night everyone.
