Is your life well lived ?

Human being always want more - money, love, personal possessions, etc....and the lists goes on and on and on....never ending lists.  Why are we working so hard ? What do we really want out of life ?  Are we happy doing what we are doing now ?  Have we lived life ?  Are we persuing what we love and want ?  What is your passion in life ?  We should live life to the fullest.  Living in the present and enjoying doing what we are doing when we are doing it.  Have a good quality of life and work life balance.

People can be so caught up with their daily lives that they forgot how to live life.  They forgot to stop to smell the roses and take a stroll around the block.  Some people might be stucked in a job they don't like because they have family commitments, they need the money and some other heavy responsibilities such as debts and loans to pay.  We should count our blessings and lower our expectations. Spend within our means and be contended with what we have. You decide yourself and not the society.

We actually don't need that much to get by in our life.  Human beings can get by with just a few possesions in life.  Less things and less wastage, save gaia.  According to Maslow's hierarchy of needs - physiological well being (food and water and shelter), safety, love, esteem and self-actualisation.  Live the simple life as long as the basic needs are met, the rest are secondary.  Nowadays people are working too hard to earn more money to chase after luxuries materials such as buying their dream home, buying their dream car, buying that luxury watches or jewelleries and never enough, they just want more.   They are so busy chasing money and don't have much time for their love ones.  They forgot to enjoy life.  When was the last time you had a good chat with your parents and siblings and had a meal together with them ?  Have you cared and shown concern for them ?  Happiness is beyond money and materials possessions.  It should be good feel and good quality time spent with friends and our love ones.  The most precious thing we can offer to our love ones are our time, our care and concern, which are more valuable and precious than anything you can measure.

Greed is one of the seven deadly sins. Don't be greedy, learn to be contended. Greed can cause lots of unhappiness in life. Look around you, money is the root cause for lots of unpleasantries, such as betrayal, lost friendships, lost kinships and many more.  Money is just a tool. Yes we need money to survive but don't have to be too greedy for it. There are other precious things which are more valuable than money, such as human relationships with friends and love ones. There are some people who are so hungry for money that they are so less humane and that is so scary.  We may not have the best of everything in life, but we can make do with the best of everything we have.

What is a life well lived ?  Is your life well lived ?   I feel that life is short, so enjoy every moment and be happy. You never know what's gonna happen next, so enjoy every moment, cherish and love your love ones, such as friends, relatives, family members, colleagues and the people around you.   There are never ending cash to be earned and never ending materials goods to possess.  We only live once, so enjoy every moment.  Don't work too hard and be so hard on ourselves.  Let me give you two scenarios, you tell me which is more pathetic ?  (1) You have spent all your cash but still alive. OR (2)  You are dead but you have not finished spending your cash ?   I think the latter is more pathetic. This is because you might be so busy earning money that you have no time to enjoy the fruit of your labour, did not live to spend it and did not enjoy a fulfilling life.

I thank God for supplying and providing all my needs according to his riches and his riches are abundant.  Let me share one of my favourite bible phrase here with all my dear weblogders.  Do not wear yourself out to get rich; have the wisdom to show restraint. Cast but a glance at riches, and they are gone, for they will surely sprout wings and fly off to the sky like an eagle. (Proverbs 23: 4 - 5)

Take some time to ponder on it.  Reflect on it.  Today is Sunday and is rest day for almost everyone.  Hope you are not working on a Sunday but enjoying life doing what you love doing and spending quality time with your love ones and youself.

Wishing everyone a beautiful Sunday.  God bless you.

Yummy Lunch

Today had yummy lunch at Botak Jones at Orchard Youth Park with L-san.  The weather is nice and cooling so lunching there is not so bad, since it is open door and no aircon.  If it is a hot and sunny day, no thanks to lunch there, sure sweat like mad.

While waiting for the rain to stop, we chit chat and laughed.
Today is the first time I passed by and stepped foot at a mosque building, on our way back to office.  I have never been inside any mosque yet. I felt very serenity while I was passing by there just now.  It is the mosque opposite Wellington Building in Orchard Road.

Lovely Midweek

It is a very relaxing and lovely day for fashionably yours today in town at Orchard Road.  Had lunch with my tai tai friend together with my two wonderful handsome buddies.  Enjoyed our interesting conversations on life and the daily activities.  It is such an insight to chat with each other.  We learn from each other and encourage each other in life.  I love such nice conversations with nice companies. I have been hanging out regularly with my tai tai friend and really enjoy her company.  We laughed and chatted alot of stuff in life.  Really learnt alot from her.  Thanks.
After we had our lunch, had tea with the two handsome buddies to talk about life and anything under the sun.  I love these intellectual discussions and we challenge each other which is interesting.  Of course, we encourage and motivate each other.  That's what friends are for.   My tai tai friend couldn't join us because she has some matters to take care of.
Fashionably yours took the afternoon off to enjoy my tai tai lifestyle, while those two handsome buddies returned to work.  Totally enjoyed myself at the spa the whole afternoon.  Done a full body massage and a facial.  So relaxing and loving it.  After my spa session, fashionably yours was feeling hungry and craving for some soup.  Thus I adjourned to the Soup Spoon.  The soup which I drank is as below picture :
** Chef Special ** Simon and Garfunkel Chicken and Mushroom Ragout (Chicken/Gluten/Dairy)

This soup is simply delicious and I love it.  I love mushroom so for those mushroom lovers I am sure you will love it too.  The soup has Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme…. as the album goes…. Scarborough Fair/Canticle… released by the duo Simon and Garfunkel in 1966. This Ragout pays tribute to one of the most influential groups of the baygon era. Yes, this rich, creamy stew is filled with marinated chunks of chicken cooked together with the infamous foursome herbs and 6 types of mushroom including the woodsy Portobello, smooth Oyster and Abalone Mushroom, the Oriental Enoki and Shitake, and the ever popular Button Mushroom. This foursome herb are known for their mood enhancing abilities with a wide range of cleansing and protective properties. Sage eases indigestion, Rosemary is anti-inflammatory, Thyme a good expectorant, and Pasley a power anti-oxidant.

Thumbs UP and I will drink this soup again.  Yummy.  Did some window shoppings before heading home sweet home to rest and relax on this cooling night.

So it is lovely lunch, tea, spa, drinking yummy soup, window shoppings and sipping red wine.  Totally spoilt myself.

Will be sipping my red wine shortly before my dose of beauty sleep. Life is beautiful.  Cheers.

I just bought a new Passionate Red Sony Ericsson W705 on last Wednesday and loving the mobile phone. It has preloaded 1000++ of nice songs, 3.2 megapixels camera, WIFI and FM radio. Shoppings and Dinner

This is a long overdue update......last 2 Thursday ago, met up with Bestie for dinner at Sun with Moon at Wheelock Place. We actually wanted to eat dinner first then shopping at Isetan Sales since they have 10% discount for cardmembers. When bestie reached Sun with Moon, she found out it was full house and they can only give us a table for two around 8pm. Bestie called me on my mobile phone to inform me on this while I was on my way to Wheelock Place, so we decided to shop at Isetan first while they keep us on the waiting list.

We shopped at Isetan and I bought some heels sole grip and cusion while bestie bought some stationeries. Fashionably yours also bought my favourite Chanel nail polish and I am a happy girl. We tried on some heels at the shoe department. Bestie commented the dumb sales girl there really pissed her off. One salesgirl at the shoe department is really dumb, she doesn't know how to give opinions to customers, simply just asked you for your shoe sizes and pass the shoe sizes for customers to try. Finally the staff from Sun with Moon called us so we hurried over to eat our dinner.

When we reached Sun with Moon, we were shown to our seats. The food we ate are :

My Sukiyaki & Tofu Salad set
Bestie's SGD2.00 plain white rice
Bestie's Kurobuta Kalbi Tareyaki and her plain white rice

Bestie's dessert - Monburan

Their services are fast and we quite like the food there. We love their salmon and tuna sashimi at Chijmes. It is very very fresh which we ate the other time when we were there.
