Happening Week

Last week was a happening week for fashionably yours.  Was on leave last Monday so headed to the spa at Holland Village for a relaxing full body scrub and massage in the afternoon.  I love it when I was the only customer at the spa in the afternoon while most of the people are working in the office.  Had the aromatherapy full body massage.  It was so convenient for me since it is just nearby and within walking distance.  After I am done at the spa, met up with a tai tai friend for afternoon tea.  The two of us were chilling at Coffee Bean and Tea chit chatting happily. I had the swedish berry tea while my tai tai friend had the ice blended latte.  Thereafter we headed to do some grocery shopping at Holland Village cold storage. We had lots of fun at the supermarket.  What do you think when you put "Carrie" and "Samantha" together (SATC). Use your imaginations and be creative.  SATC is one of my favourite sitcom.  Fashionably yours love chilling at Holland Village and it is where I am residing.  If you see me at Holland Village, say Hi to me.  All are welcome to Holland Village.

Last Tuesday night, met up with bestie who is back from Japan, for dinner.  Glad to see each other.  We actually wanted to dine at our favourite place Royal Coppenhagen Tea Lounge but found out it has closed and now TWG is the new tenant there.  While we were there last Tuesday, TWG was yet to open for business.  In the end we went to dine at The Canele at The Paragon.  I find that the food at The Canele is so so only.  That place is only good for a hot cup of tea, cakes, pastries and desserts.  Fashioinably yours love to eat their strawberry shortcake. However it was sold out while we were there after 8pm.  I was so sore about it.  Next time, I must go there during lunch hour  to buy my favourite strawberry shortcake.

We chatted  for a while after we had our dinner, before we headed home sweet home. 

In fact, fashionably yours was super busy at work recently and is my peak period at work.  Had been working like mad for the past 3 weeks due to our financial year end closing and beginning of our new financial year. I have been working till about 8pm++ and last one to leave office.  We need to clear our annual leave before 31 March 2011.  That's why I was on leave on and off too to rest in between.  

Last Thursday, met up with some friends in the afternoon at Sakae Sushi for their afternoon tea buffet at Wisma Atria.  The company was great but the food is so so only. Sakae Sushi's standard has dropped compared to last time. We find the cuting of the sashimi is not that nice and not much variety for the sushi.  Fashionably yours still prefer to dine at  Sushi Tei over Sakae Sushi.  We had lots of laughters and fun that afternoon.

Guess all these activities help me to destress.  Yes fashionably yours work hard but I play harder too.  As I am blogging now, I am glad to announce that my important reports are done and submitted.  There are still some more reports to do but I don't have to rush them like mad.  I was working last weekend rushing out my reports.  Glad I am able to rest, relax and recharge this weekends.  Yippe ! I am so HAPPY.

Last week of Jan 2010

Time flies and we are now in the last week of January 2010.  Have you been keeping up to your New Year Resolutions so far ?  So far I have been keeping up to my New Year Resolutions, eating more greens and being eco-friendly. Will keep going on this.

Phew ! fashionably yours has done so many many things in this month.  Been to the dentist twice - 1st trip for scaling and polishing on 7 Jan 2010 and today is my 2nd trip to the dentist for filling.  Have been having some gums problems and hope it has been fixed today. 

Last Thursday fashionably yours went to the spa for my full body massage, facial and did my bikini waxing.  So rejuvenating and refreshing after the body massage.  Waxing was painful though bearable.  I think I don't have the threshold of pain to do brazilian waxing as of now. If you have done any brazilian waxing, feel free to share with me your experience and where did you get it done ? I salute those friends of mine who did their brazilian waxing monthly.  

Today is also one of my colleague last day of service.  She is leaving to further her Master degree.  Wish her all the best.  Another friend is migrating to Sydney and flying off tonight.  Another one is migrating to New Zealand soon.  Oh my....so many friends are migrating but I love Singapore.  Good security and clean city though sometimes the weather is too hot. 

Oops...I heard my stomach grumbling....foodie time...yes I am going for my late dinner now.

Lovely Midweek

It is a very relaxing and lovely day for fashionably yours today in town at Orchard Road.  Had lunch with my tai tai friend together with my two wonderful handsome buddies.  Enjoyed our interesting conversations on life and the daily activities.  It is such an insight to chat with each other.  We learn from each other and encourage each other in life.  I love such nice conversations with nice companies. I have been hanging out regularly with my tai tai friend and really enjoy her company.  We laughed and chatted alot of stuff in life.  Really learnt alot from her.  Thanks.

After we had our lunch, had tea with the two handsome buddies to talk about life and anything under the sun.  I love these intellectual discussions and we challenge each other which is interesting.  Of course, we encourage and motivate each other.  That's what friends are for.   My tai tai friend couldn't join us because she has some matters to take care of.

Fashionably yours took the afternoon off to enjoy my tai tai lifestyle, while those two handsome buddies returned to work.  Totally enjoyed myself at the spa the whole afternoon.  Done a full body massage and a facial.  So relaxing and loving it.  After my spa session, fashionably yours was feeling hungry and craving for some soup.  Thus I adjourned to the Soup Spoon.  The soup which I drank is as below picture :

This soup is simply delicious and I love it.  I love mushroom so for those mushroom lovers I am sure you will love it too.  The soup has Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme…. as the album goes…. Scarborough Fair/Canticle… released by the duo Simon and Garfunkel in 1966. This Ragout pays tribute to one of the most influential groups of the baygon era. Yes, this rich, creamy stew is filled with marinated chunks of chicken cooked together with the infamous foursome herbs and 6 types of mushroom including the woodsy Portobello, smooth Oyster and Abalone Mushroom, the Oriental Enoki and Shitake, and the ever popular Button Mushroom. This foursome herb are known for their mood enhancing abilities with a wide range of cleansing and protective properties. Sage eases indigestion, Rosemary is anti-inflammatory, Thyme a good expectorant, and Pasley a power anti-oxidant.

Thumbs UP and I will drink this soup again.  Yummy.  Did some window shoppings before heading home sweet home to rest and relax on this cooling night. 

So it is lovely lunch, tea, spa, drinking yummy soup, window shoppings and sipping red wine.  Totally spoilt myself.

Will be sipping my red wine shortly before my dose of beauty sleep. Life is beautiful.  Cheers. 

Tai Tai Lifestyle

TGIW....Thank God It is Wednesday. Fashionably yours can hear the weekend's footstep is getting closer. Well well well, leading the tai-tai lifestyle for these two days. Yesterday and today took off in the afternoon from work to rest and relax. Yesterday was on a shopping spree. Bought some toiletries from Robinsons and bought my favourite body wash and body lotions from Crabtree and Evelyn.

In fact fashionably yours have not been shopping for the last few weeks, so yesterday was kinda of make-up retail therapy. Dropped by Gucci yesterday and the sales personnel was so warmth to me. Saw a pair of Gucci's heels but did not buy because it is about 4 inches high, though it is nice....maybe will buy it when it is on sales, provided it has my size. I am still thinking about the Ferragamo's heels.....hmmm.....must try to drop by Manolo Blahnik someday to buy my heels.

Today went to the spa for my full body massage and facial on a lovely Wednesday afternoon. Loving it. Now I look so radiant after the facial and feel so good after the body massage. I am gonna be very busy at work for the next two months because financial year end closing and need to prepare for new financial year stuffy too. I am ready to tackle the battle which will be very stressful.

After I am done with my body massage and facial, felt so hungry, so decided to drink my favourite mushroom soup at the Soup Spoon at the Paragon, which is also my babyface's favourite place. We love drinking soup. After fashionably yours's stomach was satisfied, indulge in some retail therapy. Came across the Body Shop new RoseFlower Make-Up collection. Bought the Rose Blusher and RoseFlower Radiance Stick.

So I had my retail therapy, body massage and facial done. I am a happy girl....or rather a happy tai-tai lifestyle. Tomorrow will be going for coffee with the guys and have lots of fun & laughters over lunch with them.

Spa, retail therapy, and fashionably yours fruit salad

Yesterday fashionably yours had a day of tai-tai lifestyle. Chauffeured to town in my favourite SLK. So stylo mylo.......After lunchie with the dude, went for my spa session at The Paragon - my favourite shopping mall. The massuer was so happy to see me, after so long. Had a full body massage and facial done. Feel so rejuvenated and refresh after my spa session.

Feeling hungry, so drop by The Coffee Club for a cuppa of Ice Latte and a piece of hazelnut cake. Yummy ! love the hazelnut cake. So coincident, met Ann, who is in town with her sister-in-law and niece who were having their desserts at The Coffee Club too. Thus say Hi to them. Ann look so beautiful in person and so stylish.....love her Chanel bag. Ann, nice meeting you and happy to see you in town. See you around. Hope next time can meet Jack together with you too.

So after filling the stomach, it is time to shop till you drop. It was so breezy to shop at Orchard Road yesterday. It was not so crowded, no human jam and no traffic jam. Had lots of full attention from the sales staff.

After my retail therapy, fashionably yours went home a happy girl. Feels so happy with my purchases :) Actually saw a pair of nice pair of black ferragamo heels which cost SGD1,030. It is about 4 inch high. Will think about it, wanted to take a look at the Manolo Blahnik heels another day first.

Today fashionably yours just chilled out at home, drinking beer and munching some tidbits. Shall let the pictures do the talking :

The fruit salad is yummy. Try it when you can. I also run some errands at Holland Village this afternoon. Nice to chill out this way......need to enjoy whatever balance there is in my vacation, before it is back to work on this Friday, though it is work one day and rest two days over the weekend. Tons of work waiting for me in the office......it is good too because I still have a job and income. Think need to slowly orientate myself this Friday. First for a start, I need to learn to wake up early and not to wake up at 12noon, as in my long vacation. I shall start doing this tomorrow, the last day of 2008, New Year Eve.

How are you going to spend your New Year Eve ? I think it is just a normal day, just take it easy, nothing special, just changing of new calender, in a twist of finger, 2009 is here soon. I can hear it, 2009 is coming closer now.

Leisure Thursday Afternoon

Today went to eat fish fillet set meal wtih Yuan-san and Seng-san at our company's recreation club.

The unagi sauce is very saltish, other than that, it was delicious. Nice company and yummy food.

After I had finished my lunch, I took the afternoon off to pamper myself for a full body massage and facial at the spa. OMG ! my masseur said she couldn't recognised me. She told me she was wondering who this beautiful lady was when I walked into the spa....As usual, fell asleep during the massage session. I feel so relaxing after the massage and love it.

After my massage session, drank my favourite Starbucks latte and chilled out at home, burning my favourite essential oil. Relaxing myself at home while my colleagues were working at the office.

Just saw the offline msn message which Eva wrote : you are already a tai-tai. OMG ! another one calling me tai-tai. I wish I am a full time tai-tai. Think my extravagant lifestyle has made so many friends calling me tai-tai.....used to it. Well, any men out there who can support me in my extravagant lifestyle and wants to make me a full time tai-tai are welcome.

Woo......hooo....the weekend is here....gonna enjoy it. In fact, I think my weekend starts from Thursday.....

On a lighter note, I met him on my way to the spa for my massage. He was very busy and seriously working very hard.....pray everything goes well for him on this launch.
