My 1st week of Jan 2010

1st week of Jan 2010 has gone by.  Now we are stepping into the 2nd week of Jan 2010.  Hope everyone has adjusted from the post festive holidays seasons and the engine has warmed up for serious work and businesses by now.  Have you been keeping to your New Year Resolutions so far ?  Yes fashionably yours has been keeping to mine.  I am eco-friendly and have been eating lots of salads.

My 1st week of Jan 2010 was hectic. Lots of reports to do in the office.  Suddenly I was down with stomach virus infections for 2 days.  Then I visited my dentist last Thursday to fix my gums.  I don't like to visit dentist but I have no choice for the sake of my gums.  My dentist is so super good business.  It was so difficult to fix appointment with him.  Finally managed to book a slot to fix my gums.  He has fixed my gums problems, but naughty me ate some hard stuff over the weekends and caused my gums to be painful again.  He advised me to eat some soft food first till my gums are stronger enough to handle harder food.  I think I must be a good good girl to listen to my dentist's advise now.  I will eat porridge, more salads and no hard meats.  Glad I went to see my dentist so that I don't have to suffer the pain anymore.  Next I need to extract my wisdom tooth and I am so scared of pain...another headache.  At first I want to extract my wisdom tooth this month but on second thoughts I think better let my gums become stronger and stablised first then I book appointment to extract it.  One thing at a time....I must be patience.  One must visit dentist every 6 months for maintainence. 

I am glad to be back at work because had lovely time with my wondeful buddies.  Last Friday we went to McCafe for lunch. It was my first McDonald lunch of 2010.  Also I haven't been to McDonald for at least 3 months since my gums infections.

Now I am feeling much better and resting over the weekends.  I would say I have a good start to 2010 and hoping it will be that way.  I am feeling happy.  Feel blissful and loved that so many lovely people caring for me and loving me.  Guess we should do unto others what you want others to do unto you.   It is all very reflective.  

I was at the supermarket last week and they have been playing Chinese New Year songs, so are the shops.  They are also selling CNY goodies....wow ! so fast CNY is coming soon which means the next Public Holiday is CNY on 14 February. Note to self to shop for some CNY clothes.....Yes time to shop....haven't been shopping much lately.  Must budget also while shoppings....

The weather was so hot over the weekends that I make myself a hot cup of chrysanthemum drinks to cool down my body heatiness.  Refreshing.  One good thing about the hot weather is my laundry is dry now.  So far not too bad, still breezy over at my place.  So it is sunny with some breeze.  In fact, I am enjoying my lazy Sunday lazing around admist the peaceful lush greenery and listening to the birds chirping on the trees.  Life is beautiful indeed.  

Alrighty time for me to have my beauty sleep now.  Good night and sweet dreams.

McValue Lunch & SALES

Had McValue lunch together with Lemon-san at McCafe today. Love the french fries. Yummy.

After we had our lunch, we went to HMV at Heeren, Ferragamo Sales at Takashimaya shopping centre, Kinokuniya Bookstore and back to office to work. Wow ! we went to many places.

Was at HMV to check out some new and nice CDs. Lemon-san bought a CD. Along the way to Takashimaya, saw a long quene at Wellington Building. Many teenagers were lining up and I have no idea what they are queneing up for and I also did not ask them.

Currently there is a Ferragamo sales at Takashimaya Shopping Centre, at fourth floor. Fashionably yours is a fan of Ferragamo heels and shoes. I love Ferragamo heels. How can I miss it. It was crowded when I reached there. Many ladies were trying on shoes and heels. The handbags, wallets, shoes, heels and ties are on sales. Check it out my dear weblogders, if you happen to be around that area. I did not buy anything from the sales, because mostly the one I like do not have my size and some of the heels I want will never go on sale. Would need to drop by their boutique another day to check it out.

Thereafter Lemon-san said he wanted to go bookshop to browse magazines, so we went to Kinokuniya bookstore for a while. We left the bookshop empty handed though.

Wherever I go, fashionably yours saw the big red word SALES very often. It seems like the Great Singapore Sales (GSS) is here and I think it is SALES everyday, 365 days SALES. Though saw the SALES sign but most of the shops hardly have any customers. The malls are so quiet even on weekends. Talk to a few friends and they were saying, economy is bad now, most people are cutting cost, so nobody want to shop and the SALES do not attract them. Furthermore, the retailers might be clearing old stocks, because customers are cutting cost and not buying, so become too many stocks in their warehouse. Thus they need to clear old stocks, so that explained so many SALES going on.

I think Singapore is becoming a SALES city.....365 days SALES, shopping paradise, shop till you drop :)) Come everybody, spend your money here in Singapore.......many nice things to buy and we give lots of discounts. Oooops......sounds like confession of a shopaholic. Excuse me.

1st Saturday of March 2009

The weekend is here....Hurray ! finally can take a good break to recharge. Let down our hair and do whatever we want. It has been raining since this morning, but fashionably yours is enjoying this nice and cooling weather.

Yesterday had McValue lunch with Yuan-san, Seng-san, Lemon-san and Dylan-san. It was fun hanging out with the guys. Lots of laughters and was fun. Thanks guys. Love you all. *hugs*. They never fail to bring laughters to my life. Life would not be the same without them. It really makes a difference to my working life. Thank God for sending these wonderful angels to my life.

After we had our lunch, fashionably yours had some retail therapy before heading out to HMV with Lemon-san. We were looking for some earpiece. Finally we decided to go to Best Denki at Ngee Ann City and bought my panasonic earpiece while Lemon-san bought a headphone which I cannot remember the brand. Thereafter we returned to office to work for the rest of the Friday afternoon.

It was nice to work at Orchard Road because it doesn't make me feel like I am working. Sometimes I am wondering I am at Orchard Road to work or leisure. Afterall, most of the time, I will work and have leisure at the same time. I will relax during my lunch break at the mall nearby and chill out at The Paragon. Also can have some retail therapy during lunch break, especially during SALES, since already at Orchard since early in the morning.

Well having said so much, time for me to go for some drinks......would love to drink some red wine and beer to chill out on this nice and cooling night, while enjoying the cool breeze and gazing at the night sky. Life is beautiful.

Lunch at McDonald

Today Lemon-san dated me to eat McDonald McValue Lunch meal. We ate the fillet o fish meal. Fashionably yours topped up SGD0.60 to drink the cuppacino. I am so sleepy today so need my cuppacino feed. As usual, we chatted alot at McCafe happily. Only the 2 of us.....so romantic....just kidding !

Enjoyable lunch + office crisis

Today had an enjoyable lunch at McDonald with my wonderful buddies. We ate the SGD4.50 McValue lunch. Alot of funny things happened during our this lunch. First I went to the wrong counter to buy our meal. They nominated me to buy the food so I asked Lemon-san which counter to queue. He pointed me to the other counter, so off I went to the other counter to quene up. We wanted to change the soft drinks to cuppacino so we topped up SGD0.60 each. After I bought the food, Yuan-san then saw me quene up at the wrong counter, because we wanted our cuppacino to be served in those porcelin cup, so should quene up at the McCafe counter. The normal counter will serve cuppacino in those plastic cups which we do not want. Anyway the staff changed it to Porcelin cups for us. So you see, my wonderful buddies did not give me proper instructions when I asked them which counter to quene. Yuan-san said he forgot to tell me to quene up at the McCafe counter. Secondly, did not ordered french fries without salt for Seng-san because he also forgot to tell me. Luckily we have another group of colleagues coming to lunch with us, so they can order french fries without salt and swop with us. Thirdly, I order wrongly for Lemon-san, he wants to eat fillet o fish but I ordered chicken burger for him. In the end, Lemon-san also ate the chicken burger. So many funny things happened and we laughed and laughed. We are always like this, surely have something funny to laugh about. Yesterday lunch also funny things happened, I ordered Pig Stomach soup with pork ribs, but the soup does not have pig stomach meat. I returned the soup to the stall and they change it to other soup for me. Another funny thing was I requested Seng-san bought to buy fruits for me. I told him I want to eat 2 pieces of papaya and 1 piece of water melon. Ended up, the stall helper forgot to give me watermelon. We laughed again over these.

After our lunch, Lemon-san and I went to HMV to browse CDs. The rest sat and chat at the McCafe followed by shopping at Marks and Spencers for more offer biscuits. All in all an enjoyable lunch with my wonderful buddies.

It was a good day all along today till some work crisis happened in the evening. Some culprit deleted my important folder in my server. I panic, screamed and jumped. Then quickly seek help. Told my people that they cannot go home till they restore my data in my server. They troubleshoot and luckily found my data and restored in my server. That folder contains very important database because it contains important information for my ISO audits. We have cleaned up the security level for my server access and dedicated it to only a few authorised personnels. What a way to end my working day.....Thank God, my data are restored. Was feeling very moody and angry initially but feel better after my important data are restored. At first wanted to investigate who is the culprit but on 2nd thoughts decided not to since my data are restored. Better channel our resources to more productive and efficent usage.
