Last Monday of April 2010

It was so hot over the weekends.  Fashionably yours was sweating like mad and make me missing the air-con in my office.  Wish it would rain cats and dogs now.  It has been a hectic week at work last week that I am so drained mentally and physically tired that I just want to rest over the weekend to recharge my brain cells. 

Blur me woke up early last Saturday morning and thought it was Friday that I want to go to work.  Then I realized is Saturday, so relax and continue sleeping.  The effect of overworking and everyday looks the same.  *LOL*

I find this year pass very fast.  Now is already last week of April.  This Saturday is May day, a public holiday.  Yeah, my company is giving us off-in-lieu credit to our annual leave. 

Yawning....time for my beauty sleep now.  Nitey nitey.

Farewell Lunch for colleague

Last Thursday we had a farewell lunch at Applebees-Neighborhood-Grill-Bar for my dear colleague Lois-san.  I find the food tasted so-so but the service is good.  It looks more like a chill out place to hang out with friends for drinks, snacks and watch soccer match than a restaurant.

We feel the price is steep.  I don't think I wanna dine there again but drinking and chilling out is ok.

Private Events and Dinner

Last Thursday evening, attended a private event to meet Beverly Feldman, one of my favourite designers.  Had an evening of fun and chatted with her up, close and personal.  Very happy and honoured to meet her indeed.   She autographed my pair of Beverly Feldman high heels and now my heels is worth a few thousand grand.

Last Friday met up with K-san for dinner at Ichiban Tei at Liang Court.  I find the ramen at Ichiban tei is so-so only.  Still prefer the ramen from Ippudo at Mandarin Gallery.

After we had our ramen, fashionably yours had a strawberry yogurt Sherbert from a shop outside Ichiban tei.  Cannot remember the name of the shop though.

We chatted while I ate my strawberry yogurt sherbert.  Then we shopped at Mediya supermarket.  We bought some sushi to bring home to eat.  He bought some tidbits too.  It was nice catching up with him.  We will meet up again for more yummy dinner.

Yesterday passed by the new Gucci flagship store at The Paragon.  Actually was going to The Paragon to chillax during lunch hour with L-san.  In fact, fashionably yours has been inside the store a few weeks ago to browse at some Gucci accessories.

Itchy, Bitsy Day

Fashionably yours had a very super busy morning.  First thing to see my dentist to fix my teeth.  Luckily somebody cancelled her appointment so they can slot me an appointment for this morning slot. That was what I was told by the clinic staff  when I called up yesteday morning to make an appointment.  Thank God for that and now I am a happy girl.  The dentist did 2 fillings for me and cost me SGD96.30 for about 45 minutes to get it fixed.  He advised me not to bite too hard and must be careful otherwise next time might need to do crowning which would cost me SGD450/-.  I don't know how I ate till I cracked my 2 tooth.  Well for the sake of good food and also on my journey to gain weight, I am a brave girl to visit my dentist to get it fix.  Today is my third visits to the dentist in this year. I have booked my next appointment with my dentist for scaling and polishing to be done in June 2010.  The dentist are always fully booked so advisable to book them in advance.  I think dentists make good money.  I should have studied very hard to become a dentist.  *LOL* bestie commented if I am a dentist, she dared not visit me because I surely don't have enough strength to extract tooth.  hahahaha.....

After I am done with my dentist visit, I went to see my company doctor for my itchy rashes on my leg.  The rashes has been there since Saturday.  Tried normal anti itch cream, but the rashes did not disappear and more and more come out each day.  Finally thrown in the towel and decided to see my company doctor after three days of endurance of the itch.  Look so ugly too...some rahes are big and some are small.  The doctor said it is allergic and sensitive skin. Gave me some anti itch cream, anti histamine and ask me to go home to rest.  Advised me not to eat seafood for the time being until the rashes are gone.  I am already so stressful after visiting my dentist and opened my mouth for about 45minutes for him to do 2 fillings.  Luckily the wait at the GP clinic is fast.  Done in about 20 minutes, so I headed to buy porridge for my lunch and home sweet home to rest.  Still itchy...so itchy bitsy day *LOL*    SCRATCH...........

Though I am at home but I am still clearing my office emails, shooting emails here,there and everywhere, stressing people.  Working from home while resting at the same time. 

Now updating some of my recent happenings.

Finally I applied for my Watsons Card which one can earn points to redeem $$ to offset purchases.  At first I don't want to apply but after I realized that I indeed bought many things from Watsons, so proceed to apply.  It is only SGD5/- for a life time member.

It was raining just now so fashionably yours took a nap.  So blissful.  Now I am drinking my hot cup of white tea while blogging.  I prayed my rashes on my leg will disasppear soon. It is making me so itchy and it looks so ugly.  I hate the rashes. I will not eat seafood till I recovered fully.  Now I need lots of TLC.

Tomorrow is gonna be a stressful day. Lots of work to do in the office.  It is good to be busy at work, it shows you have a job and keep you going. Must think positively (grinning).

It is a rainy Saturday and fashionably yours is so loving this nice and cooling weather.  Nicer to sleep in this type of weather.  Just now I had a yummy cream of mushroom soup.  Such comfy food for a rainy day.

Have been on a movie maranthon recently. Watching one movies after another.  Yesterday I watched Aladin. So funny and I laughed alot.  Rubbed the lamp, genie appeared and can grant you 3 wishes.  If the genie appeared infront of you, what 3 wishes will you wish for ?

Today I watched Eden.  A show about relationship between a married couple who have been married for 10 years.  Getting into a relationship is easier than maintaining the sparks in the relationship.  It needs lots of efforts from both parties.  Lots of communication, understanding and trust are important ingredients in a relationship. 

Sometimes watching movies can get one thinking out loud.  Besides entertaining, it is good the movies can let one reflects about life.  Or maybe it is just me who like to analyse things and see things beyond the surface.

Easter Long Weekends

This is the long weekend in view of Good Friday, a Public Holiday.  Hope everyone is enjoying this long weekend.  The next Public Holiday will be one month later which is 1st May - Labour Day.  I read from the news that Universal Studio Singapore is full house because many people throng to Sentosa this long weekend.  I would not visit USS on weekend because so crowded and will be super long Q for the rides.  I don't like to squeeze with crowds so would choose to visit USS again on a weekday.  I really enjoyed myself at USS and so fairy tale at the castle.  Guess I am just so princessie (*blushing*). 

I don't understand why so many people like to go to Orchard during weekends.  Seems like they don't have other places to go.  As far as I am concern, I will avoid Orchad Road on weekends if I can avoid it, do not want to squeeze with the crowds, both human and traffic jam.  Afterall I am always in Orchard Road during weekdays.  It is my 2nd home :)

Universal Studios Singapore

My company arranged an exclusive nights out at Universal Studios Singapore for us.  For three nights only from 30 March to 1 April, the theme park will be opened exclusively for our staff. This is a token of appreciation from the Management team for the hard work and contribution by our staff in the last year.

Fashionably yours visited the theme park on the first night which is on 30 March 2010 with my colleagues.  We had so much fun and so enjoyable.

Of course done some shoppings. How can shopping queen did not shop at USS.  My colleagues and I shopped happily at USS.  We hopped from one shop to the other.  Buy, buy, buy......

It was enjoyable and I would like to go again to visit this theme park.  Lots of things to do, see and of course the ride.  It is worth the visit.  fyi, the price is SGD72 for weekends and SGD66 for weekdays for an adult.  I think it is better to go on a weekday because cheaper tickets and not so long quene for the rides.
