14.01.2013 rest, relax and recharge day

Fashionably yours is on leave today.  Have lots of annual leave which are carried forward from last year balance annual leave.  We need to clear it by 31.3.2013, as per my company policy.  Will be clearing my annual leave on and off. I need to take leave to prepare for CNY too.  It is good to take leave to rest, relax and recharge. 

Well, what did fashionably yours do on my off day today.  I blog, read the newspaper, eat, sleep, watch TV, shoppings and went to Ikea to buy dining chairs' cushions and tealight candles this afternoon. It was not crowded at Ikea so was such a breeze making payment and I don't have to fight for oxygen with the crowds during weekends.  I hate crowded places so generally I will take annual leave to go shoppings or go outings during peak hours/weekdays while most of the people are working.  Of course you need to have alot of annual leaves to clear or take in order to go outings during office hours/weekdays. 

I was craving to eat dry mee pok fishball for lunch but that stall was closed.  Thus I ate century egg with minced pork porridge which is also very yummy. Ate till so full.

Glad I reached home sweet home before the heavy downpour this afternoon from Ikea.  I love this nice and cooling weather after the rain.  While watching the rain, fashionably yours ate Kettle brand Potato chips Honey Dijon.  It is so yummy.  Highyl recommended.  It can be purchased from Cold Storage or NTUC Fairprice at SGD4.95 each.

Also went to the medical hall nearby my house to buy this Red Sun Takara to detox.  Not sure if it is effective though.

Just watched MBS laser light show from the comfort of my house.  It makes me a happy girl.  Also fashionably yours enjoy watching this group of people playing sepak takraw downstairs my hosue at the court.  They play almost every night.

Updates

Time flies, it is already September now. Seems another 4 months to year 2013. Have been busy and did not update my blog regularly. I work, I shop, I clean the house, I eat and I cook. Today is on leave to rest, relax and recharge. Work has been hectic and very busy. Other than that, life goes on the same :)

Nail Polish that can change colours indoor and outdoor in the sun

I find the nail polish on my nails lasted only a day. 

The colour changes is not that much of a different.

I will not recommend to buy.

 Maybelline Mascara with vibrator to lengthen the lashes. It was on offer at SGD14.90

So dropped by Etude House last Thursday to buy this lipgloss

The SA said this colour suits my skin colour and I am sold

Love it but don't really like the brush, abit thin to apply

Etude house gave me a free moisture-ful facial mask.  Used it last Thurday and find it not bad.  The lipgloss cost SGD16.90 minus my SGD10 wisma voucher and gave me a facial mask costing SGD2.50.  A good deal, you do the maths. 

There are many sales around town lately.  There are the Isetan Private Sales, OG sales and The Body Shop warehouse sales.  However, I did not go to any of these sales because I only buy what I need not what I want now.  Fashionably yours can resist sales.  I did some shoppings at Watsons but mainly to buy my daily toiletries necessities.  It is wiser to save money for a rainy day.  Spend wisely.  Oh yes online shoppings is cheaper too.  Do share with me if you have any good online shopping sites.  Thanks.

My 1st week of 2011

Fashionably yours worked very hard and shopped very hard in the 1st week of 2011.  Work was very busy and have been working till very late at night.  Only get to go home from work when the moon was out last week. It has been a hectic week at work last week and feel so tiring. Thank God I have a good rest this weekend.  Last Friday was the first time in 2011 that I went home early while the sky was still bright and that makes me very happy.  I must try to go home from work while the sky is still bright often. 

Have been doing my lunch time retail therapy last week.  Shopping happily online and at the malls.  Bought heels, flats, dresses, supplementaries, toiletries and food.  Guess my CNY clothes and shoes are settled.  Have you bought your CNY clothes and shoes/heels ?  Better shop early to avoid disappointment such as don't have your sizes.  Now next on the list is to shop for CNY goodies such as pineapple tarts, sweets, love letters, etc.....I wanna shop at Takashimaya CNY fest which I think will begin this Thursday.

Now fashionably yours is sipping my hot cup of camomile tea while blogging.  Bliss.

Shoppings and Dinner

Shopping happily on Wednesday with bestie.  Shopaholics at the malls. It was also Isetan Private Sales.  Met bestie at Isetan Scotts.  She bought toys for her nephews while fashionably yours bought a new pair of Guess shades.  My last shade was bought a few years ago, so time for me to buy a new pair for the new decade 2011. 

Thereafter we shopped at Wisma Atria.  Fashionably yours bought some toiletries (masks and sunblock)from The Body Shop.  Also bought a new blouse from my favourite Bebe boutique and two sexy long maxi dresses from a shop in basement 1. 

We had dinner at our favourite restaurant - Royal Copenhagen at Takashimaya shopping centre level 2.  The staff there recognise us since we are regulars there.  It feels like we are at our 2nd home, feels very welcome, comfortable and warmth.

After we had our dinner, we continue shoppings at Takashimaya and Watsons.  Fashionably yours bought some vitamins from Watsons before we call it a night and head home sweet home.

Wonderful long weekends

Fashionably yours had a wonderful long weekends.  On Sunday, went out with babyface for some shoppings in the afternoon.  Accompanied him to buy a belt, contact lenses and we had grocery shoppings because he wants to cook dinner for me.  Told him I was craving for spaghetti so he cooked it specially for me.  How sweet he is and I find it so romantic for a man to cook for a woman.  Feel so pampered and loved.  While babyface was preparing the meal, I just sit back and relax infront of the telly watching Cougar Town.

It was so yummy that fashionably yours finished everything cleaned.  The best spaghetti I ever eaten and was cooked with love.  Such a luxury to have home cook meal for me and from a man.

After we had our spaghetti, we chilled out at his apartment with drinks and watched a movie titled Yellow Beard.  It was a very comical movie and we enjoyed it.  Nice and lovely time we had together and loving everything about it.  It is all that simple life.  He is now thinking what to cook for me next time.  I would say I really enjoy his cooking and can feel the love and efforts he put into the cooking.  Thanks babyface.  Looking forward to more dishes you gonna cook for me.  Cheers :)

Courts at Orchard

Last time this building was occupied by John Little and now it is occupied by Courts.  Courts just opened last Wednesday at Orchard.  It was so crowded that I saw customers lined up early in the morning on last Friday even before they are opened. 

My colleagues bought the all in one printer at SGD48 and HP mini netbook at SGD379.  Yuan-san even bought an oven toaster at SGD20.  Wow ! so cheap.  However these offers was only on last Wednesday.  They have many offers everyday.  I did not buy anything though.

My Retail Therapy and loving my birkenstocks

The horrible weather is so hot and humid of late.  Finally it is raining now but seems too late for fashionably yours to take a short nap because is evening now.  Updating some of my last week retail therapy.  Actually just bought what I need to use.  The Body Shop has a 30% discounts for their Star Loyalty Customers so I went to stock up my stuff.  I always wait till their 30% discounts promotions, then I shop there unless I need the items urgently.

Beautiful Sunday

The weather is super hot nowadays and is as hot as up to 35 degree celsius.  Thus making me sweating like mad most of the time.  Thank God, it rained yesterday and today making the weather so nice and cooling.  Loving it.  I don't wish Sunday to end so fast especially with this nice and cooling weather. 

Fashionably yours watched two movies this weekend.  Yesterday I watched a Japanese movie Nada Sou Sou and today I watched an English movie Freaky Friday.  Though they are old movies, I enjoyed watching it and so relaxing.   Of course I managed to squeeze some time for a short afternoon nap in this nice and cooling weather just now.  Such a luxury.  Bliss.

Fashionably yours is so British at heart. I love drinking my hot cup of tea everyday.  The other day, I bought Dilmah Elegant Earl Grey from my favourite supermarket at The Marekt Place at The Paragon.

Movie marathon and shoppings

Today is my off day.  Fashionably yours have been enjoying my super long weekends since last Thursday.  Yippee....enjoying myself all the way.  Doing things I like and spending ME time.  I can sleep anytime I like and wake up anytime I like on my off day.  Just do what I wanna and enjoy doing.  Love this type of lifestyle.  No hurrying and no pushing around.  Taking my own sweet time.  However I still check my office emails and shooting emails here and there.  It is gonna be busy soon at work. 

I just watched 2 movies this afternoon.  Watched English movie - 28 days and Japanese movie - Dive.  Very nice show.   Fashionably yours just had movie marathon this afternoon.  Well yes I ate my favourite Merci chocolates and Meiji Yogurt while watching the movie.  I enjoyed Dive more compared to 28 days.  Love the soundtrack too. Gonna look for it.  Though they are old movies but is ok for me, as long as I can watch it when I am free anytime I like.  Must follow my pace and not me follow the movie's timing.  Yes follow me, fashionably yours' timing.
