Shoppings and Dinner

Shopping happily on Wednesday with bestie.  Shopaholics at the malls. It was also Isetan Private Sales.  Met bestie at Isetan Scotts.  She bought toys for her nephews while fashionably yours bought a new pair of Guess shades.  My last shade was bought a few years ago, so time for me to buy a new pair for the new decade 2011.

Thereafter we shopped at Wisma Atria.  Fashionably yours bought some toiletries (masks and sunblock)from The Body Shop.  Also bought a new blouse from my favourite Bebe boutique and two sexy long maxi dresses from a shop in basement 1.

We had dinner at our favourite restaurant - Royal Copenhagen at Takashimaya shopping centre level 2.  The staff there recognise us since we are regulars there.  It feels like we are at our 2nd home, feels very welcome, comfortable and warmth.

Click here for our dinner at Royal Copenhagen post and pictures

After we had our dinner, we continue shoppings at Takashimaya and Watsons.  Fashionably yours bought some vitamins from Watsons before we call it a night and head home sweet home.

Feel very happy with my shoppings and dinner.

The Body Shop Bazaar

Some backdated updates.  3 Friday ago, was at The Body Shop Bazaar at Plaza Singapura.  It was so crowded and lots of good bargains.  Fashionably yours quened up for about 30 minutes to make payment at the cashier counter.  Shall let the pictures do the talking.

My purchases
Bought above SGD80 will entitled each customer to SGD20 bodyshop voucher to be used at Plaza Singapura outlet only.  Besides there is a free gift of a bodyscrub, shower gel and a pouch.  Fashionably yours got all the free gifts and the SGD20 voucher.  I would say this bazaar is quite similar to their warehouse sales because the prices are comparable.  I only bought what I need.  The honey and oat facial mask is good and I like the Vitamin E facial mask too.  I also bought the spa wisdom body scrub which was the special offer of the day....Yippee good bargains and I am a happy girl.  Confession of a true blue shopaholic looking for good bargains.
If you have any good bargains, feel free to share with me.  Thanks.

Hot, hot, hot weather

OMG ! the weather is terribly hot, hot, hot these few days.

Feeling so so so sleepy today and I am glad I got through this Manic Monday.

The hot, hot, hot Great Singapore Sale is here. Time for more shoppings. The first few days saw lots of consumer rushed to the malls to shop to get good deals. As the GSS will last till July 2009, I think by July 2009, the crowds may not be there. Who has so much $$$ to spend for the whole period of GSS. Times are bad, so people are spending wisely to enjoy the discounts.

Just now fashionably yours passed by Gucci at Paragon. I think Gucci is having sales now so long quene was formed outside the boutique. I was thinking sometimes is it worth to quene up to buy such expensive branded goods, though after discounts some of the branded bags are still in the thousands series. For me I will not quene up to pay for such expensive items. I am spending money on expensive items, why should I quene up to pay for such expensive items. Louis Vuitton is another boutique whereby I often see long quene formed outside the boutique. I think I don't waste my time to quene up to pay for such expensive branded goods. Luckily my two favourite boutiques, that is Chanel and Hermes, have no long quenes. Thus shopping is such a breeze for me at my these two favourite boutiques.

Time to get ready for bed. Good night everyone and sweet dreams :)

Shoppings and Eating

The weekend comes and goes...seems like this weekend is ending soon and a new work week is beginning soon. Well we are about to enter June 2009 and oh la la....we have walked 5 months into 2009. Well the In-thing now is the Great Singapore Sales (GSS) is here. Last Friday was the first day of GSS. Orchard Road was so jam packed with humans and vehicles last Friday. Everyone is rushing in for a good deals and bargains. Hope you had some good deals bought during the GSS.

Last Monday Books Kinokuniya has this 20% discount storewide, so dropped by to buy Her World magazine. A good buy because it has the Laneige skin care set free.

Her World Magazine - June 2009 issue
Laneige Skin Care set FREE

Fashionably yours had a lovely weekend. In fact, my weekend began last Thursday. Last Thursday bestie and I took leave. We went to Color Wash at China Square Central. I sent my Chanel bag for cleaning and bestie sent her shoe for cleaning. It was recommended to me by Chanel boutique Sales staff that I send my Chanel bag there for cleaning. Bestie also recommended me this place as she also has sent her bags there for cleaning before and is satisfied with their services. After we were done at color wash, we proceed for lunch at Hong Lim Complex food centre.

Wanton Noodle stall which we bought our noodle

There were long quenes at this stall.

Luckily when we bought our noodles, it was short quene My wanton noodle

very yummy

Cost SGD2.00
Cheap and good
Afer our stomach are filled with food. We went to the Club 21 bazaar at F1 pit building. We shopped happily there. It was very crowded. We shopped till closing at 2000 hour. We are very happy with our purchases. Fashionably yours bought a DKNY LBD and a Diesel cap while bestie bought an Emporio Armani Jacket and a pair of Armani Exchange pants. It was worth going and good steals. Will go to the next Club 21 bazaar again.
Our dinner on Thursday night was pasta at pasta mania, before we headed home sweet home.
Last Friday evening, bestie and I met up again for more shoppings. It was the first day of GSS. We bought some toiletries & biscuits & tea from Crabtree & Evelyn. Prior to meeting bestie, fashionably yours had done some shoppings at Takashimaya shopping centre to enjoy the additional 10% discount for cardmembers. Fashionably yours bought a pair of Brenda Inc earrings and my favourite Chanel nail polish. We also shopped at Bvlgari boutique as bestie wants to buy the keyring.
We went for our dinner at our favourite restaurant which is Royal Copenhagen. Fashionably yours knew it will be full house, so dropped by to make reservations before we shopped at Bvlgari boutique. As expected, when we returned to have our dinner, the restaurant was full house. Luckily we have reservations and were shown to our table at once. We were so hungry that we forgot to take pictures of our food. It was delicious, as usual and ate till very full.
The weather is so hot these two days that fashionably yours just want to stay indoors and sit near the fan. Seems like everywhere is under constructions now and jam packed with both human and vehicles over the weekends. It is a wise choice to stay in to avoid the crowds and the hot weather. It is such a breeze to shop during the off peak hour when other people are working during the office hours.
Sipping my Crabtree & Evelyn Organic Camomile tea

Eating my piece of rich fruit cake
which I bought from Royal Copenhagen
very yummy except a tad too sweet

I know the GSS is here now and most of you would shop to enjoy the discounts. However please shop smart and wise, only buy the things you need. Don't just buy because it is cheap. Also always check the expiry dates of products you are going to buy.
Enough said for now, Happy Shopping everyone and have a great week ahead.
P.S. Please share with me your good steals and/or bargains you had from the GSS. Thanks.

Enjoying life

It is the weekend....Hurray....well well well, fashionably yours have been so busy during the weekdays and cannot find the time to blog. Just realized I can only update my blog during the weekend. Am I becoming the weekend blogger ? I hope not. I want to constantly update my blog for my dear weblogders.

The week is kind of happening. Took afternoon leave last Thursday to visit my hairstylist for a new look, together with bestie. I had a hair cut, colour, highlight and treatment. It was very relaxing with the hair massage. Spent about 3 hours at the salon together with bestie, but kind of fun because we chat and laughed alot, though we felt kind of sleepy in between. Luckily we have each other to laugh and talk to, otherwise really can fall asleep during the hair session. I like my new hair style. After we were done with our hair session, we proceed to redeem some vouchers at the customer service counter since we spent a certain amount and entitled us to play spin the wheel game.

We had lots of fun spinning the wheels....spin and spin and spin....Then in total we have 28 tokens. I exchanged 13 tokens for a cute little yellow bear. While bestie exchanged the balance of the tokens for a rubic cube and a note pad.

My cutie little yellow bear which I
exchanged for 13 tokens
to bring him home
What shall I name him ?
Little cutie bear saying Hi to everyone
Please suggests some name for me. Thanks.

We were so hungry after spinning the wheel, so we went to Ichiban Boshi at Suntec for Japanese dinner. Yes we love Japanese food. It was not crowded and no quene, so we were showed to our table once we reached the restaurant.

Bestie dinner bento set
Some beef skewers

My dinner bento set
Healthy bento set
I love the fresh salmon sashimi and chawan mushi

Both of us ate till very full. We asked the waitress will the fruits be watermelon as shown on the menu. She told us only oranges will be served instead of watermelon. I told bestie that they served us oranges instead of watermelons the last time when we dined there. I think they are cutting cost on the fruits because oranges are cheaper compared to watermelons. We would prefer to eat watermelons.
Two of us really enjoying life on a Thursday afternoon while our colleagues were working hard in the office. Our weekend starts on Thursday, to the salon to do our hair, then to our yummy Japanese dinner. It is good to go to the mall during weekdays because less crowded and get better service as compared to the weekends. We don't like the weekend crowds at the malls.
Fashionably yours have a very bad case of throat infections and sore throat. Seen the company doctor and was prescribed anti-biotics on Friday. However still not fully recovered yet. Think I talked to much in the office and worsen my throat conditions. My voice changed too. I want my original voice to be back and the pain pain go away asap. Have been drinking lots of h20.
My anti-biotics

Actually Fashionably yours is supposed to be at the hottest party in town dancing now and not blogging here. I have complimentary VIP tickets to the hottest party in town. However due to my sore throat, I decided to stay home to rest and here I am updating my blog. I miss the party this time but never mind, I must recover asap so that I can go to the next party and dancing the night away.
Now here are some udpates on shoppings in town :
Received John Little pamphets informing there is a 20% off storewide on 27 May (Wed) and 28 May (Thur) for Cardmembers only. So those of you who are Robinson cardmembers can go and get some nice bargains.
Received Tangs pamplets informing there is a 12% rebate on 27 May (Wed) - closed door sale and 28 May (Thur) for cardmembers.
Takashimaya also has 4-day special from 28 May (Thur) to 31 May (Sun) of additional 10% discount off for Taka credit & cash smart cardholders (min spent of SGD10 nett)

If anyone of you have any news on sales in town, please share with me here. The Great Singapore Sales (GSS) is here now, so here we go shoppings. Remember only buy what we need and don't be so tempted by the SALES.
Happy Shoppings :)

Pedicure and Manicure

Last evening Fashionably yours indulged in my favourite activity. Yes was at the nail spa and had a citrus manicure and marine spa pedicure, painted in a shade of sweet pink by OPI nail polish. It is so relaxing and nice. Love it.

Time for more shoppings now that the Great Sinapore Sale is approaching soon. A lot of sales in town now. Shop, shop, shop and shop till you drop. Good retail therapy but be careful to just buy what you need.
Have a good mid-week.....the weekend is approaching soon and I can hear the footsteps.

McValue Lunch & SALES

Lunch of the day at McCafe

My McValue lunch - fillet-0-fish

Had McValue lunch together with Lemon-san at McCafe today. Love the french fries. Yummy.

After we had our lunch, we went to HMV at Heeren, Ferragamo Sales at Takashimaya shopping centre, Kinokuniya Bookstore and back to office to work. Wow ! we went to many places.

Was at HMV to check out some new and nice CDs. Lemon-san bought a CD. Along the way to Takashimaya, saw a long quene at Wellington Building. Many teenagers were lining up and I have no idea what they are queneing up for and I also did not ask them.

Currently there is a Ferragamo sales at Takashimaya Shopping Centre, at fourth floor. Fashionably yours is a fan of Ferragamo heels and shoes. I love Ferragamo heels. How can I miss it. It was crowded when I reached there. Many ladies were trying on shoes and heels. The handbags, wallets, shoes, heels and ties are on sales. Check it out my dear weblogders, if you happen to be around that area. I did not buy anything from the sales, because mostly the one I like do not have my size and some of the heels I want will never go on sale. Would need to drop by their boutique another day to check it out.

Thereafter Lemon-san said he wanted to go bookshop to browse magazines, so we went to Kinokuniya bookstore for a while. We left the bookshop empty handed though.

Wherever I go, fashionably yours saw the big red word SALES very often. It seems like the Great Singapore Sales (GSS) is here and I think it is SALES everyday, 365 days SALES. Though saw the SALES sign but most of the shops hardly have any customers. The malls are so quiet even on weekends. Talk to a few friends and they were saying, economy is bad now, most people are cutting cost, so nobody want to shop and the SALES do not attract them. Furthermore, the retailers might be clearing old stocks, because customers are cutting cost and not buying, so become too many stocks in their warehouse. Thus they need to clear old stocks, so that explained so many SALES going on.

I think Singapore is becoming a SALES city.....365 days SALES, shopping paradise, shop till you drop :)) Come everybody, spend your money here in Singapore.......many nice things to buy and we give lots of discounts. Oooops......sounds like confession of a shopaholic. Excuse me.

SHOPPINGS, IT SHOW 2009 & DINNER

Fashionably yours has been very busy recently. So many things to do and time not enough. Was invited to attend a private event today but really very busy that I have to give the event a miss. Alrighty, some updates for my blog and here goes.....it is rather photo-intensive though.

Since fashionably yours need to clear leave, so I took afternoon leave on Thursday to meet up with Bestie, who was also on leave that day. There are so many SALES on going recently. We went to Isetan Private Sales. I bought my skin care products from Clarins and Fancl. It was not so crowded and doesn't seems like SALES was going on. The quene were not that long. Maybe times are bad that consumers are holding back purchases that even SALES are not that attractive anymore. Perhaps, times are bad now and retailers need to boost sales so they are having more SALES to attract shoppers.

My Clarins and Fancl skin care products
bought from Isetan Private Sales
Fashionably yours had a bill of over SGD200 for beauty products, so entitled to redeem a SGD20 Isetan rebates voucher for next purchase. For every SGD100 spent on beauty products, customers can redeem a 10% rebate Isetan Voucher during the Private sales.

Thereafter met Bestie who was waiting for me at Kinokuniya. She reserved a book so went to collect it and also to enjoy my 20% discount for Kinokuniya Privilege Card member. Again, the quene to the cashier was not that long....so it was a breeze queneing up to pay for the book. Our next destination is Suntec City because we want to go to the IT Show. It was a hot afternoon, so we took a bus to Suntec City. Once we reached Suntec City, we went to the Bodyshop warehouse sales. Wow ! no quene to enter the warehouse and no quene to make payment at the cashier, though quite crowded at the sales.
The Bodyshop Warehouse Sales

My purchases from The Warehouse Sales

FREE gift for customers who spent above SGD50 at the Bodyshop Warehouse sales

My FREE gift - A Mascara

Finally we proceed to the IT show 2009

It was very crowded at the IT Show 2009 though it was just the first day. In fact, the whole Suntec City was very crowded and human jam. I am looking for a mini notebook and bestie is looking for a laser printer. We browsed and collected lots of brochures. After making our rounds, we discussed. I decided not to buy my mini notebook for the time being because I don't want to pay such a high price (about SGD700) for just simple function mini notebook with no built-in DVD drive and the screen is too small for me. The most I would be comfortable with is the 10 inch mini notebook. I still love my current HP Entertainment notebook, tablet pc though the battery life is short and need charging regularly. Well save me some money now. Maybe will consider to buy my mini notebook when the price drops a few month down the road. I like the Acer Aspire One AOD150 and the BenQ mini notebook. However not sure how stable is BenQ mini notebook. My dear weblogders, feel free to share with me your mini notebook experience on Acer and/or BenQ. Many Thanks.
After walking and squeezing with the crowds at the IT show, both of us were so tired and hungry, so time for foodie. We settled for Japanese food at Ichiban Boshi.

My tempura ice cream dessert

It was yummy.....loving the food especially the salmon sashimi, which I find is fresh. It was home sweet home after satisfying our stomach. Besides it was late and we need to work the next day, which is Friday the 13th.

On Friday lunch hour, fashionably yours hit the malls again.....more retail therapy. Actually had tea with Lemon-san in the afternoon. Thereafter he was so sweet to accompany me shopping. Went to Isetan to buy my Fancl products using the Isetan rebate voucher, so help me to save some money. Bought the new formula MCO which just launched on Friday the 13th. I like the MCO which I find is very good to cleanse my make up.
Bought my Fancl products

The Shopaholic in me shops happily at the malls. The retailers told me they need customers like me. Oops...confessions of a shopaholic here. I am a happy girl and happy with my purchases because there are so many free gifts wtih my purchases.....I love free gifts. Fashionably yours also dropped by Kinokuniya to buy Reader's Digest using my card to enjoy the 20% discounts.
I am going to read my reader's digest which is a very informative magazine. Considering to subscribe it.

Eye Infections on my left eye

Yesterday was boxing day and was supposed to meet up with Bestie for shoppings at the Isetan Private Sales. However fashionably yours has an eye infections and need to consult the doctor. My left eyes keep tearing non-stop. It was so uncomfortable and feel very irritating. I cannot see properly due to the tears in my left eyes.

Was prescribed some lotions and cream to apply by the doctor. Now I am feeling much better, though still tearing on and off. Guess it takes at least 3 to 4 days for it to fully recover.

I have to forgo all the sales on boxing day. Everywhere is having boxing day sales. It is alright, I save money by staying at home to nurse my left eye infections. There are SALES everywhere in Singapore almost throughout the year, so missing one or two is alright.

Open Concept Office & Retail Therapy

Phew ! back to the office today full of energy. Settled so many tasks, one after another at work. Feel GREAT, though fashionably yours worked till about 2100 hour just now to clear my work. Also need to start packing since we are shifting office next Wednesday. In fact, I have shifted some of my stuff to my newly renovated office this afternoon. Shall do the rest of the shifting myself on Tuesday afternoon.

On next Wednesday morning, will ask the contractors to help me to shift my about 20 over boxes from my current temporary office storeroom to my newly renovated office storeroom. These boxes are filled with those heavy box files which I don't think I am gonna unpack them. Mainly these are archive documents and will destroy them when reach their expiry date......which has to be kept for seven years since these documents contains dollars and cents. According to the bank regulations, financial documents have to be kept for seven years, so my industry follow this bank regulations.

The Open Concept Newly Renovated Office

My newly renovated office is open concept type. Most of my colleagues commented that I have the PERFECT and BEST cubicle seating area in the whole office. They said my seating area is very privacy, has good view and window seat. Thank God for that. They like my seating area because mine is a corner unit. Some even asking me how much will it take me to exchange my cubicle with them for their cubicle. Sorry folks, I am not trading it. Some even told me can develop my area further by putting up a curtain, a marjong table and a bed at my cubicle. Yeah the area is big enough if your want to do it for fashionably yours. It is actually to be done at the extension area of my cubicle.

Fashionably Yours new cubicle

Besides working hard, of course the shopaholic in me cannot resist a good sales. Heard from people that there is a L'oreal Sales on 5 Dec 08 to 6 Dec 08 (2 days only). It is at Concorde Hotel (Formerly known as Le Meridien Orchard), level 3, from 10am to 6pm. Bought some Vichy cream, Matrix shampoo and conditioner. I left my bottle of Matrix shampoo and conditioner at the office. Will bring them home another day. It is one litre each and so heavy.

Sorry I have problems rotating them clockwise, so tilt your head to see them.

Bought Vichy products

After I knocked off from work in the evening, fashionably yours dropped by Isetan Orchard to purhase Ettusias Acne Night time defence powder and get a FREE diary. If you spent SGD28, you can get the free diary, while stocks last.

My Ettusais night powder and FREE diary

I like my pink colour diary. It is so convenient for fashionably yours to shop, since my office is in Orchard Road. Retail Therapy always bring cheers to my face, especially after a stressful day at work. In fact, I think I hardly shopped the last few weeks because work is very busy. Though just a bit of retail therapy in between. I love lunch time retail therapy after drinking coffee with my wonderful buddies at Starbucks.

After clocking long hours at work for the past few weeks and burnt my last weekend, thank God, I have finished most of my work by now. Just need to tie the loose end, touch up here and there plus prepare for shifting office. At least I don't have to work over this long weekend. I can rest and relax and have a good time with my friends over the long weekend. Looking forward to my long vacation to call it a year and wrap up my workings days for Year 2008. Holi, Holiday ! Holiday mood during the festive seasons. Hoping to shop more while I am on long vacation soon. But also need to rest during my long vacation after working so hard for the Year 2008. Most of my colleagues are on leave now and will only report for work on 2nd January 2009. Soon, it will be my turn......counting down.....

Have a wonderful long weekend everyone. I'm sure I will.....make sure you do too.

Isetan Private Sale - 25 Sep 2008

It is shopping time again....Yours truly, the shopping queen love shopping. Last Thursday was Isetan Private Sale for cardmembers. I bought some Clarins skincare products at Isetan Wisma during lunch time and that is my first part of the Isetan Private Sale. At the same time, help bestie to collect and pay for her Clarins skincare products. The fitting room was not so crowded, so I tried on a few dresses but they didn't look nice on me, so gave it a pass. The Isetan Private Sale is only for cardmembers at Isetan Scotts. Need to show your Isetan Card to the staff stationed at the entrance in order to enter Isetan Scotts that day. However Isetan Wisma was opened to the Public during the Private Sale.

My Clarins skincare products

The 2nd part of the Isetan Private Sale was in the evening when I met up with Bestie to shop at Isetan Scotts. In fact, Isetan Scotts has more things and is more crowded compared to Isetan Wisma. Surprisingly the quene to the cashiers and to redeem our beauty vouchers was a breeze. The quene are moving fast and within 5 minutes, we are done with the payment and beauty voucher redemptions. It is less crowded and faster when you make payment nearer to 2200 hours when they are closing their store. However most goodies are gone by then because the early birds catches the worms......As we are only interested to buy skincare products and cosmetics, so we reserved our stuff earlier and we just grab and go, on the private sale day. Of course since we were there, we shopped around too, besides buying our reserved skincare products and cosmetics.

Crowds at the Fancl counter when we were there to collect Bestie's items

Bestie bought a pair of Americaya's white wedges.....it looks nice on her. It is worth buying using the beauty vouchers. We have some fun trying on shoes......I tried on a pair of shiny high heels that makes me look like a mamasan, working in a night club.....Have a good laugh over it.....Took pictures of it......here goes.......

Mamasan high heels

I didn't buy this pair of high heels since I don't like it. Thus just for a laugh during our shopping spree. Kinda of mini entertainment huh.

Both bestie and I bought the Estee Lauder's Blockblaster set.

Click here for pictures of my blockblaster purchase.

Besides purchasing skincare products and cosmetics, we also bought stationery. The stationery are retailing at 20% discount on last Thursday only. I bought a nice notebook and some pens.

My sweet notebook

Carrie's Disposable Pilot Fountain Pen tucked on her sleeve in

Sex and the city

Close up of the Disposable Pilot Fountain Pen

I bought the Disposable Pilot Fountain Pen

The one used by Carrie in Sex and the city and

in real life, she is also using this pen

We shopped till the store is closing. When it was closed, we were still inside the store talking to our beauty advisor happily. I am very happy with my purchases, so is Bestie.....we went home smiling all the way happily.......All in all, a very enjoyable shopping spree Girls' night out on town.
