Working weekend

It has been a very hectic week for fashionably yorus.  So much work to do and have been working non stop even working with an injured bleeding left ear.  The doctor gave me 2 days mc on Wednesday and Thusday to rest but gotta work from home to rush out my reports. 

Yesterday worked till about 2100 hour in the office and continue to work from home till 3.30am.  Today again continue working till just now about 1800 hour.  Today is 1st of May, Labour day. Indeed I am labouring at home, working so hard. Thank God I managed to finish my tasks on hand.  The rest to be continued at work next week in the office.   Now time for me to rest and relax to enjoy my weekend.  I am putting on a Vitamin E facial mask while blogging now. 

I don't have Monday off but my company will give us off-in-lieu to make up for this Saturday Public Holiday, which fahsionably yours can take within a month.  Yippee, now I have an extra day of annual leave.   OMG ! it is already May 2010, time flies so fast this year.   Day in, day out, rush here, rush there and first quarter year of 2010 has passed.

ME TIME

The cure for my eye burst blood vessel is to stay away from spreadsheets. My eye is much better now after a day of rest and applying eye drops diligently.  Hoping it will recover soon. 

Fashionably yours have a terrific day today and I am glad I took the day off to rest my eyes.  Done many things and happy to get my personal thing done today. Something I had always wanted to do and finally get it done this afternoon.  So far year 2010 is good.  Very motivating and no more procrastination, just do it, set your mind to do it.  Basically today is My day, my time, my own pace.....ME TIME.  Rest and Relax...I want it that way.

Someone also make me laughed so hard this afternoon.  Here goes our funny conversation :

He : Does people kill chicken where you live ?
Me : No, my place is not a village. I don't see any live chicken around. All I see is chicken served on table.

Both of us had a good laugh.  OMG ! he makes my day and so sunshine. Two jokers ! BTW my friend is living in UK.

Yipee the weekend is here and mine starts today.  I am enjoying myself on this nice and cooling weather.  Loving it.  I can hear my stomach grumbling. I just had my salad one hour ago but now I am going for my late yummy dinner.  Plan to read a book and magazine tonight with my lighted lavender aromatherapy oil.  Life is beautiful indeed :))

1st weekend of 2010

The 1st day of 2010 has walked past us.  So how was your first day of 2010 ?  I hope it was a good one.  Fashionably yours had a good 1st day of 2010.  It was happy, sweet and all good.  

Year 2009 was a bumpy ride for me, had some unhappiness and faced a family crisis. Glad it is now over and things are looking good.  I am thankful to God for his abundant blessings to see me through the downs in my life in 2009.  I really do not know how I went through it.  Thank God for blessing me with the strength to let me ride through it in 2009.  I am glad my 2009 ended with a good note and started with a good beginning.  It was sweet indeed.

Usually I don't make New Year resolutions because I don't keep them. However I am going to keep these New Year resolutions of mine - to consume more vegetables and fruits, consume less meats especially beef to reduce my carbon footprints on earth. Use fans and less air-con and use less plastic bags. Gonna be eco-friendly.  Also I want to be more beautiful inside out.  These are practical and achieveable New Year Resolutions which I will keep.  I just ate my salads and fruits.  What are your New Year Resolutions ?

Great weekend

Howdy dody my dear friends and weblogders. Fashionably yours schedule is so full and I have been neglecting my blog updates. Pardon me....very happening lifestyle and thus the lack of time to update. Here I go now to update my blog at this wee hour while most of you are sleeping :)

Oh la la....the weekend is over so fast. My weekend starts from Wednesday :) Went out with Ed for Japanese dinner at Akashi restaurant at Orchard Parade Hotel. We were busy talking and enjoying our food that fashionably yours forgot to take pictures. Also I was very hungry that day. I find the food is so-so because I am very particular about freshness of sashimi. My favourite is still Sun with Moon sashimi which is real fresh.

Last Thursday night, met up with bestie at China Square Central. More under the cut here

Had a great party on Saturday night at IndoChine with great music and great people. Fashionably yours is a happy girl drinking and dancing like there is no tomorrow. Met lots of friends there and feeling so good. Party till the wee hours and slept at 4am. I love my favourite cosmopolitan. What a nice weekend. Life is GREAT.

Party time

Tiring week and so many happenings

Feeling so so so tiring after a hectic week at work. Besides the heat is on. The hot weather can really affect one's mood. Making me feeling so tired and don't feel like moving because when I move I will sweat. Normally either hide inside the aircon area or sit in front of the blowing fan. Hoping it will rain this weekend so that the weather will be nice and cooling.

So many things happen recently, from the H1N1 flu to the arrest of Mas Salamat. First is H1N1 flu spreading to so many countries and affecting people's lifestyle. People are skipping eating pork. Thermometers and N95 masks are sold out. Many places are having temperature screening of visitors as a precaution measure. I have been measuring my temperature three times a day - Morning, midday and evening as per my company's policy now in view of the H1N1 flu. We have to record our temperature online via our company's portal everyday. Need to continue to do so even when the alert level is to change to yellow next Monday, until further notice. Have been washing my hands regularly and thoroughly too.

Last night about 2am my friend who works at the press informed me that Mas Salamat has been arrested in Malaysia after so long. It has been so long since he escaped and finally the authority nailed him down. The news is everywhere in the papers now and most of the people are talking about it.

Yesterday morning, the bus which I was travelling to work broke down half way so need to change bus. All passengers get a free ride though most of us were delayed on our journey to work.

Thank God the weekend is here, so that fashionably yours can rest.....feeling so sleepy now....need to zzzzzzzzzz.............alot.

Phew ! what a busy and hectic week fashionably yours had. Done lots of stuff and pretty productive at work. Thank God that things are moving in good directions. Glad the weekend is here and time to recharge, rest and relax. Of course time to let loose and let the hair down to party hard and have lots of fun. Definitely looking forward to a fun filled weekend.

Last day of February 2009 - 28.02.2009

Today is the last day of February 2009. February is a short month with only 28 days in the calendar and 29 days in a leap year in the calendar. I still cannot believe that today is 28 February 2009 and 2 months has gone in Year 2009. Time really flies, we are entering the 3rd month of Year 2009 tomorrow. Well seems like it was only yesterday when we were counting down to Year 2009 and now March 2009 is approaching us soon in a few hours.

It was raining cats and dogs this afternoon. I took out my camera and captured the rain while I was watching the rain drop falling from my window. This is my neighbourhood..... How nice this feeling....it is so relaxing.

Don't be so caught up with our daily busy stuffy, remember to stop and smell the rose, or rather watch the rain falling and listen to the rhythm of the falling rain.

Fashionably yours was shopping last evening and don't believed that it was a Friday night and the shopping malls are so quiet. Where are all the shoppers ? Guess times are bad that even with the BIG RED WORDING SALES shown on the shops are not attracting shoppers. More people are browsing than buying.....except fashionably yours is still shopping and buying. I bought a pair of 4 inch black high heels last night. Will show picture when I model it. Stay tuned.

Well the weather is rather nice and cooling....and is such a lovely weather to snuggle under the duvet tonight. My babyface just messaged me something horny....he is getting naughty. Got to go now.

Happy Valentine's Day

Today is Valentine's Day and I am sure most of you had a good time with your Valentine(s). Most of the the guys out there must have digged a deep hole in their wallets for paying on overpriced flowers, strangers bumping elbows with strangers at restuarants for overpriced food. Actually it is not necessary to splurge on all these overpriced items especially now the economy is so bad. The worst is yet to come, so better spend wisely. It pains my heart to see my man's hard earn cash paid for all these overpriced items, though he has no problem paying for it. The economy is bad now, so we keep low profile even we can afford to splurge. Be empathy.

I feel everyday should be Valentine's day and not only to express your love to your significant other on this Valentine's day. When I was a teenager, I have lots of expectations on this day itself, getting excited on how to celebrate it. However as I grow older and wiser, I just find it too commercialised and kind of show off by couples to declare their love to each other. It is so meaningless. As long as two people know they are in love and truly care for each other deep down in their heart, I think it is good enough.

The restaurants owners and florists are the one laughing their way to the bank now. I wouldn't want my man to pay for the overpriced flowers and food because we know we can always pay normal price on other days and get excellent services. Well, he is on overeseas business trip, so save our money....earning money is more important now than spending it...I support his job though it is keeping him away from me....not easy being the woman behind the successful man with a recession-proof professional. I am used to it anyway:)) I told him the other day that he has a recession-proof job, so I must stick to him closely and hold to him tightly.

Friday the 13th

TGIF....Hurray it is Friday....well it is Friday the 13th....hahahaha....Normally people's face change whenever one mentioned Friday the 13th, for fear something bad will happen. Some people are so scared that they can take leave to stay at home whole day....are you one of those ?
Anyway I hope nothing bad happened to anyone of you on Friday the 13th.

Fashionably yours is in a very happy and relax mood today since the weekend is here. Everyone in the office today is also in a very relax mood....no stress and no pressure at work. Everybody is feeling good, laughing and joking in the office.

During lunch time, Yuan-san and I went to buy 8-days magazine at the Newstand at Centrepoint. They were having some promotion whereby when customers buy 8-days or I-weekly will get a free gift from L'oreal worth SGD15.00.

After I had paid for my 8-days magazine, somebody asked me if I can read Chinese. I replied yes I can. This auntie is so sweet, she told me she only wants the free gift for her son. She is giving me I-weekly to read.

After we were done with our goodie bags and magazines, Yuan-san and I shopped at John Little. John Little and Robinson Group of companies are absorbing the 7% GST over the weekends, from Friday to Sunday.

Also had afternoon tea with my wonderful colleagues just now. We were all simply very relax, chit-chat and laughed alot. Loving it with nice company. All in all, a very happy and lucky Friday the 13th for fashionably yours.

P.S. Passed by Heeren just now and saw some flower sellers selling 3 stalks of roses for SGD25. OMG ! it is so expensive to pay for 3 stalks of roses at SGD25 that will wither within 3 days. I wouldn't want it. No thanks. It is not necessary to splurge on such unnecessary things, just because it is Valentine's day. I would rather my man donate that sum of money to charity. However I do feel good to receive flowers on my birthday though:)) I think the flowers will be back to normal price on my birthday....Luckily my birthday does not coincide with Valentine's Day.

1st week of 2009

Phew ! 1st week of 2009 just passed. I worked and worked for the past one week. Seems like not much going on except lots of work. Of course enjoyed chilling out with my wonderful buddies. Guess I am missing on the social front, which is generally quiet around this time. It is more vibrant after March 2009 generally. I feel so tired after the hectic week at work, that I just want to have lots of sleep over the weekends. I need to recharge which is such a luxury to me.

I tell myself it is good to be busy at work especially now the economy is so bad. Blessed to have a job now and keep me so busy that I don't have time to go to the washroom. Read from newspaper that many people are out of jobs and Mediacorp is going to implement shorter work week, for cost cutting measures. Looks like 2009 is going to be a tough year ahead so everyone must be ready to ride through it.......it is gonna be worst. May have more retrenchment and recruitment freeze. Nevertheless, be positive, hang on and keep going. Will see the light at the end of the tunnel soon.

The bungalow opposite my house is having some private party now. The music is blasting so loud and I can hear the party goers are having a great time. I think the music will blast into the wee hours which is fine with me, afterall it is the weekend and time to let down the hair and have fun.

TGIF....don't feel like working and feeling so tired after a hectic week. However I feel happy because :

1) It is Friday today

2) Saturday and Sunday are rest day so can rest and relax.

3) Big just brought me good news. Poor big is running around in big apple for me. Make him run errands for me despite his so busy schedule and expensive time. I make him sweat but he is just so sweet to me.

Open Concept Office & Retail Therapy

Phew ! back to the office today full of energy. Settled so many tasks, one after another at work. Feel GREAT, though fashionably yours worked till about 2100 hour just now to clear my work. Also need to start packing since we are shifting office next Wednesday. In fact, I have shifted some of my stuff to my newly renovated office this afternoon. Shall do the rest of the shifting myself on Tuesday afternoon.

On next Wednesday morning, will ask the contractors to help me to shift my about 20 over boxes from my current temporary office storeroom to my newly renovated office storeroom. These boxes are filled with those heavy box files which I don't think I am gonna unpack them. Mainly these are archive documents and will destroy them when reach their expiry date......which has to be kept for seven years since these documents contains dollars and cents. According to the bank regulations, financial documents have to be kept for seven years, so my industry follow this bank regulations.

My newly renovated office is open concept type. Most of my colleagues commented that I have the PERFECT and BEST cubicle seating area in the whole office. They said my seating area is very privacy, has good view and window seat. Thank God for that. They like my seating area because mine is a corner unit. Some even asking me how much will it take me to exchange my cubicle with them for their cubicle. Sorry folks, I am not trading it. Some even told me can develop my area further by putting up a curtain, a marjong table and a bed at my cubicle. Yeah the area is big enough if your want to do it for fashionably yours. It is actually to be done at the extension area of my cubicle.

Besides working hard, of course the shopaholic in me cannot resist a good sales. Heard from people that there is a L'oreal Sales on 5 Dec 08 to 6 Dec 08 (2 days only). It is at Concorde Hotel (Formerly known as Le Meridien Orchard), level 3, from 10am to 6pm. Bought some Vichy cream, Matrix shampoo and conditioner. I left my bottle of Matrix shampoo and conditioner at the office. Will bring them home another day. It is one litre each and so heavy.

I like my pink colour diary. It is so convenient for fashionably yours to shop, since my office is in Orchard Road. Retail Therapy always bring cheers to my face, especially after a stressful day at work. In fact, I think I hardly shopped the last few weeks because work is very busy. Though just a bit of retail therapy in between. I love lunch time retail therapy after drinking coffee with my wonderful buddies at Starbucks.

After clocking long hours at work for the past few weeks and burnt my last weekend, thank God, I have finished most of my work by now. Just need to tie the loose end, touch up here and there plus prepare for shifting office. At least I don't have to work over this long weekend. I can rest and relax and have a good time with my friends over the long weekend. Looking forward to my long vacation to call it a year and wrap up my workings days for Year 2008. Holi, Holiday ! Holiday mood during the festive seasons. Hoping to shop more while I am on long vacation soon. But also need to rest during my long vacation after working so hard for the Year 2008. Most of my colleagues are on leave now and will only report for work on 2nd January 2009. Soon, it will be my turn......counting down.....

I am becoming Mrs Big

OMG ! I am becoming Mrs Big. My big is married to his job and here fashionably yours seems to be married to my job too....so we are on par....2 busy people married to our job. I am so busy with work till I don't feel like talking. My mind is just so engrossed with my work....I have no time to go home nor go to the washroom.

Fashionably yours worked till 2200 hour in the office on a Friday night. I still cannot finish my work, so I brought my work home to do them over the weekends. Phew ! finally I just finished what need to be done. Thank God, I can rest on Sunday, though I burnt my Saturday working. At least I have a sense of accomplishment when getting my tasks completed.

I understand how it feels when you have reports to do and tight dateline. I simply have no mood for other things. Just leave me alone to do my work. The mind will be keep thinking about the reports and works.....that is exactly how my big feel every time. He has so many works to do. Times are bad so cannot employ additional manpower to help him. Next week is gonna be another hectic and stressful week for fashionably yours.

Alrighty, fashionably yours need to have a good rest now, after all my hard work. Now I want a can of beer to relax and unwind myself.

Long weekend

TGIF. The long weekend is here in view of Deepavali being a Public Holiday on next Monday.....Hurray ! Next week is gonna be a 4-day working week. However, let's enjoy the long weekend first.

Tai tai lifestyle

OMG ! cannot believe it. The weekend is over just like that. Had an enjoyable and wonderful weekend.

Took the afternoon off on last Friday to rest and relax over food and shoppings with Eva-san. It was a Girls day out for a good spin in town....It is kind of tai tai lifestyle taking our own sweet time.
