Beautiful Sunday

The weather is super hot nowadays and is as hot as up to 35 degree celsius.  Thus making me sweating like mad most of the time.  Thank God, it rained yesterday and today making the weather so nice and cooling.  Loving it.  I don't wish Sunday to end so fast especially with this nice and cooling weather. 

Fashionably yours watched two movies this weekend.  Yesterday I watched a Japanese movie Nada Sou Sou and today I watched an English movie Freaky Friday.  Though they are old movies, I enjoyed watching it and so relaxing.   Of course I managed to squeeze some time for a short afternoon nap in this nice and cooling weather just now.  Such a luxury.  Bliss.

Fashionably yours is so British at heart. I love drinking my hot cup of tea everyday.  The other day, I bought Dilmah Elegant Earl Grey from my favourite supermarket at The Marekt Place at The Paragon.

Enjoying the simple life

One moment, it rains and the next moment is sunshine today.  At least the weather is cooling and breezy.  Fashionably yours is off today.   I don't have Mondazzz Bluezzz.  Woke up anytime I like after I had enough of my beauty sleep.  Thereafter had a late breakfast of tuna sandwiches and a late lunch of Porridge with some sides dishes of an egg, vegetables and tofu.  It is comfort food since it was raining this afternoon.

This afternoon, I watched the movie The Proposal.  It is a nice and funny show. It is touching too.  Lately I have been on a movie marathon.  Thanks to MIO TV, so I can watch the movies anytime I like when I am free.  Craving for strawberry shortcake and managed to buy some strawberry cake from my neighbourhood cakeshop.  It is delicious and sweet.  At least satisfy my cravings.  Gonna buy some strawberry shortcake when I go to town.

In fact, my long weekends began since last Thursday.  Oh yes, done some shoppings, retail therapy, movies, lunch and doing my DIY manicure.  Bought some nail polish from the Face shop and happily painting my nails.

Toner, Moisturiser and BB Cream

I have yet to use the BB Cream but the moisturiser is not bad.  It can at least control oil for about 4 hours and helps to minimise pores.  Love the nice smell of this Pore Laser Fluid.  Will use it for a while to see if I wanna continue it or switch to Clarins moisturisers. I am in search of a good moisturiser for oil control since I have combination skin.  Feel free to share with me your good moisturisers if you have combination skin. Thanks.

So far, I have watched the movie Along Came Polly, The Guru and The Proposal.  Let's see what movies I can catch on MIO TV at the comfort of my cosy loft and at my convenience.  I am enjoying my Monday so far and love the simple life.  No hurry, just take my own sweet time. My pace.  However soon gonna be madness and stressup next month because our company's Financial Year end closing and commencing of a new Financial Year.  Lots of budgetting, forecasting and costing to do for fashionably yours.  Nevertheless just wanna rest and relax now while I can and enjoy every moment of it.  Gonna eat my dinner and apple soon.

Happy New Year Eve

It is New Year eve today, the last day of 2009.  Fashionably yours is here blogging to update the happenings before 2010 arrives.  We need to clear all our backlog before the new year arrives.

I enjoyed my festive seasons holiday break and very relaxing.  The last 2 days was Girls Days Out with bestie and very fun.  Lots of retail therapy and food.

The second day of our retail therapy was fruitful because bestie bought her Ferragamo Vera pump. In fact, I think we bought more shoes this time round.  The first day bestie bought 2 pair of shoes at a good discount and I bought my sandal and a pair of black high heels at a good discount.  We are shoes addict.  We wanted to buy clothes but ended up with more shoes purchased.  We love shoes.  Actually I wanted to buy Ferragamo heels but they do not have my size in the colour I like, so I skipped.  Everywhere is having sales now and so crowded at Orchard Road.  Zara sales has just started so still can shop. I haven't been to Zara sales yet but will try to make time for it...think next week most probably.  

On the second day of our retail therapy, fashionably yours bought a nice red dress while bestie bought a nice black blouse.  We had lots of fun and laughters at the fitting room.  One of the lady seek my fashion advise at the fitting room and I happily gave which she appreciated very much. I am glad she trusted me and appreciated my efforts.  It makes my day.  OMG ! I am not only bestie's fashion and stylist consultant, I have new clients now.  I love fashion.

Have been eating lots of salad of late. I love eating salad and so healthy.  I want to be eco friendly and reduce my carbon footprints on earth.  Therefore, please don't consume so much meat, especially beef.  Let's do our part to save the earth.

It is New Year Eve today, the last day of 2009. 10 yrs have zoomed past. I remembered 10yrs ago today was busy with Y2K project, everyone is geared up for the cut-over, camped overnight at office to ensure no errors after the date run from 1999 to 2000 in the computer system. Looking back, what have you done in the past 10 yrs ? Have you grown to be a better person? Reflecting time. Happy New Year Eve everyone.

Tai Tai Lifestyle

TGIW....Thank God It is Wednesday. Fashionably yours can hear the weekend's footstep is getting closer. Well well well, leading the tai-tai lifestyle for these two days. Yesterday and today took off in the afternoon from work to rest and relax. Yesterday was on a shopping spree. Bought some toiletries from Robinsons and bought my favourite body wash and body lotions from Crabtree and Evelyn.

In fact fashionably yours have not been shopping for the last few weeks, so yesterday was kinda of make-up retail therapy. Dropped by Gucci yesterday and the sales personnel was so warmth to me. Saw a pair of Gucci's heels but did not buy because it is about 4 inches high, though it is nice....maybe will buy it when it is on sales, provided it has my size. I am still thinking about the Ferragamo's heels.....hmmm.....must try to drop by Manolo Blahnik someday to buy my heels.

Today went to the spa for my full body massage and facial on a lovely Wednesday afternoon. Loving it. Now I look so radiant after the facial and feel so good after the body massage. I am gonna be very busy at work for the next two months because financial year end closing and need to prepare for new financial year stuffy too. I am ready to tackle the battle which will be very stressful.

After I am done with my body massage and facial, felt so hungry, so decided to drink my favourite mushroom soup at the Soup Spoon at the Paragon, which is also my babyface's favourite place. We love drinking soup. After fashionably yours's stomach was satisfied, indulge in some retail therapy. Came across the Body Shop new RoseFlower Make-Up collection. Bought the Rose Blusher and RoseFlower Radiance Stick.

So I had my retail therapy, body massage and facial done. I am a happy girl....or rather a happy tai-tai lifestyle. Tomorrow will be going for coffee with the guys and have lots of fun & laughters over lunch with them.

GREAT FRIDAY

Today is my 1st day back to work at the office....so blur blur and need to orientate myself. My email box is full and closed. In other words, fashionably yours cannot send and receive emails until I cleared my emails. I spent the whole morning clearing my emails at work. There are tons of work waiting for me to do. Initially I did not know where to begin, so I pick up where I left off. Of course, I grumbled to my big just now. He knew it and must be laughing at me from the big apple. Compared to him, mine is small case. I told him, his job is recession-proof....so I am safe to stay with him forever. (lol). His stress level is also high though.

Oh yes, lots of Christmas presents from my colleagues on my desk greeted me this morning. Thanks, I am so loved by my nice colleagues.




Anyway I am also glad to be back to my office, because I can have fun together with my wonderful buddies. Since so long we did not see each other, we have lots to yak to each other, so we went for drinks after we had our lunch meal.

Besides clearing my works, emails, catching up with my wonderful colleagues and buddies, opening the Chrismas presents and grumbled to big, fashionably yours had retail therapy. OMG ! I miss shoppings......even the sales staff said long time no see to me because I am their regular customer. Happy that they remembered me and provided good services to me. I think also because I am a good customer, who always have a smile on my face and very friendly.

Fashionably yours was the last person to leave the office today after clearing my work. My BIG BIG BOSS (EVP) and I were the last 2 persons working in the office today. We had friendly chat with each other. It was nice chatting with him this way. He left the office before me, so I was the last person to leave office.

All in all, a GREAT FRIDAY and a GOOD FIRST DAY OF WORK FOR YEAR 2009 for fashionably yours. A GOOD start to my career because today I pinpointed things at work and call the shots.....my voice carry power & weight, so don't play play. I feel a sense of accomplishments. I also want to thank big for being my motivator. I pity his ear because I grumbled to him frequently, but he always encourage and support me.

Yesterday fashionably yours had a day of tai-tai lifestyle. Chauffeured to town in my favourite SLK. So stylo mylo.......After lunchie with the dude, went for my spa session at The Paragon - my favourite shopping mall. The massuer was so happy to see me, after so long. Had a full body massage and facial done. Feel so rejuvenated and refresh after my spa session.

Feeling hungry, so drop by The Coffee Club for a cuppa of Ice Latte and a piece of hazelnut cake. Yummy ! love the hazelnut cake. So coincident, met Ann, who is in town with her sister-in-law and niece who were having their desserts at The Coffee Club too. Thus say Hi to them. Ann look so beautiful in person and so stylish.....love her Chanel bag. Ann, nice meeting you and happy to see you in town. See you around. Hope next time can meet Jack together with you too.

After my retail therapy, fashionably yours went home a happy girl. Feels so happy with my purchases :) Actually saw a pair of nice pair of black ferragamo heels which cost SGD1,030. It is about 4 inch high. Will think about it, wanted to take a look at the Manolo Blahnik heels another day first.

The fruit salad is yummy. Try it when you can. I also run some errands at Holland Village this afternoon. Nice to chill out this way......need to enjoy whatever balance there is in my vacation, before it is back to work on this Friday, though it is work one day and rest two days over the weekend. Tons of work waiting for me in the office......it is good too because I still have a job and income. Think need to slowly orientate myself this Friday. First for a start, I need to learn to wake up early and not to wake up at 12noon, as in my long vacation. I shall start doing this tomorrow, the last day of 2008, New Year Eve.

How are you going to spend your New Year Eve ? I think it is just a normal day, just take it easy, nothing special, just changing of new calender, in a twist of finger, 2009 is here soon. I can hear it, 2009 is coming closer now.

Open Concept Office & Retail Therapy

Phew ! back to the office today full of energy. Settled so many tasks, one after another at work. Feel GREAT, though fashionably yours worked till about 2100 hour just now to clear my work. Also need to start packing since we are shifting office next Wednesday. In fact, I have shifted some of my stuff to my newly renovated office this afternoon. Shall do the rest of the shifting myself on Tuesday afternoon.

On next Wednesday morning, will ask the contractors to help me to shift my about 20 over boxes from my current temporary office storeroom to my newly renovated office storeroom. These boxes are filled with those heavy box files which I don't think I am gonna unpack them. Mainly these are archive documents and will destroy them when reach their expiry date......which has to be kept for seven years since these documents contains dollars and cents. According to the bank regulations, financial documents have to be kept for seven years, so my industry follow this bank regulations.

My newly renovated office is open concept type. Most of my colleagues commented that I have the PERFECT and BEST cubicle seating area in the whole office. They said my seating area is very privacy, has good view and window seat. Thank God for that. They like my seating area because mine is a corner unit. Some even asking me how much will it take me to exchange my cubicle with them for their cubicle. Sorry folks, I am not trading it. Some even told me can develop my area further by putting up a curtain, a marjong table and a bed at my cubicle. Yeah the area is big enough if your want to do it for fashionably yours. It is actually to be done at the extension area of my cubicle.

Besides working hard, of course the shopaholic in me cannot resist a good sales. Heard from people that there is a L'oreal Sales on 5 Dec 08 to 6 Dec 08 (2 days only). It is at Concorde Hotel (Formerly known as Le Meridien Orchard), level 3, from 10am to 6pm. Bought some Vichy cream, Matrix shampoo and conditioner. I left my bottle of Matrix shampoo and conditioner at the office. Will bring them home another day. It is one litre each and so heavy.

I like my pink colour diary. It is so convenient for fashionably yours to shop, since my office is in Orchard Road. Retail Therapy always bring cheers to my face, especially after a stressful day at work. In fact, I think I hardly shopped the last few weeks because work is very busy. Though just a bit of retail therapy in between. I love lunch time retail therapy after drinking coffee with my wonderful buddies at Starbucks.

After clocking long hours at work for the past few weeks and burnt my last weekend, thank God, I have finished most of my work by now. Just need to tie the loose end, touch up here and there plus prepare for shifting office. At least I don't have to work over this long weekend. I can rest and relax and have a good time with my friends over the long weekend. Looking forward to my long vacation to call it a year and wrap up my workings days for Year 2008. Holi, Holiday ! Holiday mood during the festive seasons. Hoping to shop more while I am on long vacation soon. But also need to rest during my long vacation after working so hard for the Year 2008. Most of my colleagues are on leave now and will only report for work on 2nd January 2009. Soon, it will be my turn......counting down.....
