Happening Week

Last week was a happening week for fashionably yours.  Was on leave last Monday so headed to the spa at Holland Village for a relaxing full body scrub and massage in the afternoon.  I love it when I was the only customer at the spa in the afternoon while most of the people are working in the office.  Had the aromatherapy full body massage.  It was so convenient for me since it is just nearby and within walking distance.  After I am done at the spa, met up with a tai tai friend for afternoon tea.  The two of us were chilling at Coffee Bean and Tea chit chatting happily. I had the swedish berry tea while my tai tai friend had the ice blended latte.  Thereafter we headed to do some grocery shopping at Holland Village cold storage. We had lots of fun at the supermarket.  What do you think when you put "Carrie" and "Samantha" together (SATC). Use your imaginations and be creative.  SATC is one of my favourite sitcom.  Fashionably yours love chilling at Holland Village and it is where I am residing.  If you see me at Holland Village, say Hi to me.  All are welcome to Holland Village.

Last Tuesday night, met up with bestie who is back from Japan, for dinner.  Glad to see each other.  We actually wanted to dine at our favourite place Royal Coppenhagen Tea Lounge but found out it has closed and now TWG is the new tenant there.  While we were there last Tuesday, TWG was yet to open for business.  In the end we went to dine at The Canele at The Paragon.  I find that the food at The Canele is so so only.  That place is only good for a hot cup of tea, cakes, pastries and desserts.  Fashioinably yours love to eat their strawberry shortcake. However it was sold out while we were there after 8pm.  I was so sore about it.  Next time, I must go there during lunch hour  to buy my favourite strawberry shortcake.

Fashionably yours had the carbonara while bestie had the marinara spaghettini and madagascar ice cream sorbet

We chatted  for a while after we had our dinner, before we headed home sweet home.

In fact, fashionably yours was super busy at work recently and is my peak period at work.  Had been working like mad for the past 3 weeks due to our financial year end closing and beginning of our new financial year. I have been working till about 8pm++ and last one to leave office.  We need to clear our annual leave before 31 March 2011.  That's why I was on leave on and off too to rest in between.

Last Thursday, met up with some friends in the afternoon at Sakae Sushi for their afternoon tea buffet at Wisma Atria.  The company was great but the food is so so only. Sakae Sushi's standard has dropped compared to last time. We find the cuting of the sashimi is not that nice and not much variety for the sushi.  Fashionably yours still prefer to dine at  Sushi Tei over Sakae Sushi.  We had lots of laughters and fun that afternoon.

Guess all these activities help me to destress.  Yes fashionably yours work hard but I play harder too.  As I am blogging now, I am glad to announce that my important reports are done and submitted.  There are still some more reports to do but I don't have to rush them like mad.  I was working last weekend rushing out my reports.  Glad I am able to rest, relax and recharge this weekends.  Yippe ! I am so HAPPY.

Have a nice weekend everyone.

Beautiful Sunday

The weather is super hot nowadays and is as hot as up to 35 degree celsius.  Thus making me sweating like mad most of the time.  Thank God, it rained yesterday and today making the weather so nice and cooling.  Loving it.  I don't wish Sunday to end so fast especially with this nice and cooling weather.

Fashionably yours watched two movies this weekend.  Yesterday I watched a Japanese movie Nada Sou Sou and today I watched an English movie Freaky Friday.  Though they are old movies, I enjoyed watching it and so relaxing.   Of course I managed to squeeze some time for a short afternoon nap in this nice and cooling weather just now.  Such a luxury.  Bliss.

Fashionably yours is so British at heart. I love drinking my hot cup of tea everyday.  The other day, I bought Dilmah Elegant Earl Grey from my favourite supermarket at The Marekt Place at The Paragon.

Alrighty, that's all the updates for now.  Gonna enjoy the rest of my Sunday before back to work tomorrow.

Lovely midweek afternoon

Fashionably yours is still enjoying my long CNY weekends holidays.   Yippee ! Woke up late and had some roasted pork rice for lunch.  Well have some stomach upset too, think I over eaten the last few days.  Common to everyone who has been eating and merry making.  Hope my stomach upsets recovers soon.  Just had one pineapple tart which I cannot resist. Yummy.

Glad my Year of the Ox ended with a good note and begin my year of the golder Tiger with a good note.  Feeling sweet and blissful.

Simply loving this lazy midweek afternoon.  Gonna take things slow today to rest and relax over a hot cup of tea amidst my lush greenery. Nice music, a good book and the caressing of the breeze on my skin. Priceless and so blissful :))

P.S. Going for my afternoon nap shortly......

Rainy Monday

Hope your weekend was good. It is a nice and cooling Monday. It rained cats and dogs in the late morning. Fashionably yours love rain. In fact, miss the rainy weather because the last few days the weather was so extremely hot. Hope it will be this nice and cooling weather tonight too for a good night sleep. OMG ! it is only late afternoon and fashionably yours is already thinking of my bed. Well, must be the nice and cooling weather that makes me thinking of my bed.

Munching cashew nuts, honey macademia nuts and abalone macademia nuts in the office, which my colleague bought back from Sydney. Nutty nutty days.....yummy.....Just finished my fruits and now making earl grey tea to drink.

Life is good though busy at work. Lots of projects in the pipeline. Guess is good to be busy in these times. Nevertheless take a short break to blog here and now back to my work and drink my hot tea.

Have a nice week ahead everyone :)

P.S. Can smell my lavender aromatherapy which fashionably yours is burning now. Love it : )

Something Different

During lunch hour, went with Lemon-san to Fuji Xerox Building at Anson Road to send his Nikon camera's lens for servicing. Pictures took along the way.
Junction of Anson Road

79 Anson Road

A McDonald Restaurant at Springleaf Tower

We passed by Jackie's Chan's cafe and thought of having a drink there.
Unfortunately full house, we couldn't find a table.

So we just have our drinks at Killiney Cafe at International Plaza

It has been a long time since fashionably yours visited Tanjong Pagar and Anson Road. I used to work along there. Lots of changes but I still can remember the way. Luckily fashionably yours, the walking street directory is able to guide Lemon-san to his destination at Anson Road. He is not familiar with this area so I am his tour guide today at Anson Road and Tanjong Pagar.

Great to be able to visit this area and enjoy something different. We took a bus back to our office and fashionably yours enjoyed the bus ride because can get to see the CBD area which I don't normally see daily. We must try to do something different everyday such as taking a different route home so you see and experience different things in life. Whatever it is, enjoy the journey in life and count our blessings.

Life is GREAT and here is wishing everyone a Happy April Fool's day. Have you been playing pranks to other people ?

Good night and sweet dreams.

All in all a very lovely Sunday afternoon pampering myself at the comfort of my lovely home. I love all these me-time which is a luxury to fashionably yours. Worked 5 day week, so Sunday belongs to my own time. Everybody needs to have their own personal space to do the things they enjoy and also to recharge themselves before the work week begins on Monday.

Rainy Monday

It is rainy day which is a good day for fashionably yours to stay indoor. It is so cumbersome to carry the brolly and let my sexy leg get wet while walking in the rain. Anyway I have an enjoyable indoor day snuggling at home in this nice and cooling weather burning my aromatherapy essential oil - Lavender. Love the smell as it exudes from my burner.

My yummy hot fish soup for lunch

Thereafter drank my favourite hot beauty tea

My DIY manicure, very pampering

Have my fashion feeds

Fashionably yours loves to stay home recently because my room is so cosy and I am surrounded by things I love. I wanted to get away from the crowds especially in town whereby I have to fight with the traffic and human jam. Many people crowds at Orchard Road to see the Christmas Lights Up and taking pictures. My aromatherapy burner looks like my small fireplace in my room. Feels so warm and cosy. Loving it..........and of course I have nice music playing from my favourite radio station......Life is GREAT even staying indoor.
My aromatherapy burner cum small fireplace

However fashionably yours also like to be out and about to shop, party, clubbing and chill out with friends. I think it needs some balance of indoor and outdoor lifestyle. I feel good and GREAT. I did not see Mr Watermelon today because it is raining the whole day and it is not safe to cycle in the rain.....nice weather to stay indoor to do indoor thingy.

My Luxury Monday Afternoon

It is Monday....do you have the Monday Blues ?

Well, it is a rainy Monday too. The weather is so nice and cooling to snuggle under the duvet. Such a waste if fashionably yours were to spend it at work in this nice and cooling weather. Therefore, Fashionably yours took the afternoon off today . This morning, fashionably yours stepped into the office to pass some instructions to my lovely colleagues to get the things done, so that fashionably yours can continue my portion tomorrow morning. Hopefully they get it done for me and give me the nos by this evening. I know it is not easy....my portion is even tougher and very challenging. What else, all of us are seeing nos and nos....and big nos....up to billions.

From my window, fashionably yours can see it is still raining outside now. Pitter, patter, pitter patter, listen to the rhythm of the falling rain....A nice cup of hot tea held in my hand while fashionably yours slowly sip my hot afternoon tea, nice music playing from the radio and my burning aromatherapy essential oil exude in the air....Wow ! a great way to pass fashionably yours afternoon, while most of you are working hard in the office and especially my colleagues are cracking their brains to work out the millions and billions nos. for fashionably yours.

Fashionably yours is going for a short nap, my beauty sleep in this cooling weather soon.....such a luxury. Need to recharge and I can forsee from tomorrow onwards, it will be tough for fashionably yours at work because I have to handle my billion dollar projects. Of course, not forgetting life beyond work.......will relax in between so that my mind can think better and more productive and more efficient.

Have a nice week ahead everyone.

Nice Saturday afternoon

Sipping Crabtree & Evelyn Afternoon tea

With Raisin & Choco Chip Cookies bought from Daiso last night
It is individually wrapped
The above are my Saturday afternoon tea break. Simple and non fattening:) The weather is so hot on a Saturday afternoon today. Luckily there is some breeze as the evening approaches. I can feel the breezes now while I am blogging now.
OMG ! Class 95 are playing songs from the 80s today and tomorrow over the radio - the era which is my growing up years. Knew most of the songs and singing along. Feel so wonderful....love the songs and it is bringing back memories of those good old days with my first love......We were always dancing away to the music at the disco every weekend without fail till the wee hours. Life was so fun, full of dancing, BBQ, parties, movies, eating, swimming, sun tanning at the beach and functions to attend. It was nice chilling out with our friends and we always had so much fun and laughter together.
Love those good old days spending time together with my first love and our group of wonderful friends. Nevertheless my current life is also great and wonderful now, living and enjoying my high life now. Now my first love is also living and enjoying the high life, have a nice private house near where I am putting up now, driving a nice car, high flyer and jet setting round the world meeting celebrities whom I wish you will bring me along to meet them together with you, in your course of work. Great that both of us are doing well now and hope it will be even better for us in the future.
I pray one day we will be back together again. I think deep down in my heart, I still have a soft spot for you. We were close to meet each other but we lost touch somehow......I believe in fate, if we are meant to be together, we will meet again and be reunited. For now, thanks for the wonderful good memories and being part of my life.
Saw my first love in the media the other day and he has aged so much. Think due to his hectic work schedule, he has insufficient rest. Please take care of yourself. It pains my heart to see you like this.......However, you are still the good looking and suave first love of mine in my eyes.
Quotes I like from the Korean drama - Stairway to Heaven
Song-joo: People who love each other end up reuniting. No matter how far apart they are, they will reunite in the end. Love is something that returns!
Tae-hwa: Heaven is a land I cannot go to. In front of this mural all the love in the world even the love that can't be forgiven. I hope that it can all come true.
Song-joo: Perhaps he may have loved her more than I did. However, this does not mean that I loved her any less.
On a side note, we are each other's first love. If we are reunited, then it would be like we went for a merry go round all these year and then end up back to each other's arm again.......so fairy tale and drama mama......But I think I like it this way.......People who love each other end up reuniting. No matter how far apart they are, they will reunite in the end. Love is something that returns!
Sipping afternoon tea, nice 80s music that brings back lots of wonderful memories put a smile on my face........Nice Saturday afternoon Indeed! Loving It. Thanks once again my first love.

Enjoying my afternoon fine tea

In the afternoon I had bread dipped in olive oil, strawberries and tea for my afternoon tea time. It is no ordinary tea but tea from Dammann Freres. It is one of the exquisite tea that I have drunk so far. The tea bags, made of nylon, which are packaged individually. The material, close to silk, permits to obtain an infusion with all the same qualities appreciated in loose tea.

Thanks to Lemon-san for giving me this exquisite tea. I am wondering does The Market Place at The Paragon sell this exquisite tea. Did a google search and found the
homepage. It is retailing at 8 pounds for 24 indiviually wrapped tea bag. Any kind soul, if you do know where in Singapore are retailing this Dammann Freres tea, please let me know. Thanks.

Click
here for the pictures of this exquisite Damman Freres tea which I am drinking and enjoying now.
