31.12.2012 - NYE

Time flies and fashionably yours find that year 2012 zoomed past so fast.  In fact, too fast.  It is now the last day of year 2012 and it is NYE.  Have been super duper busy with work and hardly have time to update my blog.  Well still try to make time to update my blog regularly, best effort.  Thanks to all my readers and for your support on my blog.

Looking back on year 2012, fashionably yours still shop but shop less nowadays compared to last time.  Too busy with work and don't have time to spend money which is a good thing.  I can save money and invest it.  Thus in 2013, frugality shall apply and continue the good work of saving and investing money.  Above all I want good health too.  

I don't believe in New Year Resolutions anymore.  I believe in live and let live, enjoy every moment.  Be happy and be healthy.  Of course eat healthy food and don't feed yourself with garbarges such as junk food or any food that has no vitamins and minerals.  Must eat food that are nutritious and nourish one's body system.  It is important to drink enough h20. 

Last Friday, fashionably yours took a break from work since have been working non stop.  It was really a good break from work to recharge, rest and relax.  Was at Holland Village so dropped by Plain Vanilla Bakery to buy cupcakes.  I had the red velvet and white chocolate strawberry cupcakes.  Yummy.  

Also met Nana and she chose a nice classy swaroski crystals and fresh water pearls necklace for me.  It suits my personality.  I love it so much.

Happening Week

Last week was a happening week for fashionably yours.  Was on leave last Monday so headed to the spa at Holland Village for a relaxing full body scrub and massage in the afternoon.  I love it when I was the only customer at the spa in the afternoon while most of the people are working in the office.  Had the aromatherapy full body massage.  It was so convenient for me since it is just nearby and within walking distance.  After I am done at the spa, met up with a tai tai friend for afternoon tea.  The two of us were chilling at Coffee Bean and Tea chit chatting happily. I had the swedish berry tea while my tai tai friend had the ice blended latte.  Thereafter we headed to do some grocery shopping at Holland Village cold storage. We had lots of fun at the supermarket.  What do you think when you put "Carrie" and "Samantha" together (SATC). Use your imaginations and be creative.  SATC is one of my favourite sitcom.  Fashionably yours love chilling at Holland Village and it is where I am residing.  If you see me at Holland Village, say Hi to me.  All are welcome to Holland Village.

Last Tuesday night, met up with bestie who is back from Japan, for dinner.  Glad to see each other.  We actually wanted to dine at our favourite place Royal Coppenhagen Tea Lounge but found out it has closed and now TWG is the new tenant there.  While we were there last Tuesday, TWG was yet to open for business.  In the end we went to dine at The Canele at The Paragon.  I find that the food at The Canele is so so only.  That place is only good for a hot cup of tea, cakes, pastries and desserts.  Fashioinably yours love to eat their strawberry shortcake. However it was sold out while we were there after 8pm.  I was so sore about it.  Next time, I must go there during lunch hour  to buy my favourite strawberry shortcake.

We chatted  for a while after we had our dinner, before we headed home sweet home. 

In fact, fashionably yours was super busy at work recently and is my peak period at work.  Had been working like mad for the past 3 weeks due to our financial year end closing and beginning of our new financial year. I have been working till about 8pm++ and last one to leave office.  We need to clear our annual leave before 31 March 2011.  That's why I was on leave on and off too to rest in between.  

Last Thursday, met up with some friends in the afternoon at Sakae Sushi for their afternoon tea buffet at Wisma Atria.  The company was great but the food is so so only. Sakae Sushi's standard has dropped compared to last time. We find the cuting of the sashimi is not that nice and not much variety for the sushi.  Fashionably yours still prefer to dine at  Sushi Tei over Sakae Sushi.  We had lots of laughters and fun that afternoon.

Guess all these activities help me to destress.  Yes fashionably yours work hard but I play harder too.  As I am blogging now, I am glad to announce that my important reports are done and submitted.  There are still some more reports to do but I don't have to rush them like mad.  I was working last weekend rushing out my reports.  Glad I am able to rest, relax and recharge this weekends.  Yippe ! I am so HAPPY.

Well hope everyone had a nice weekends, be it shoppings, chilling out with friends or at home. Seems like the weeekends passed us so very fast and the weekdays has arrived. It is Monday today and I hope no Monday blues for you. Even if you have a bad day or Monday blues, it is soon gonna be over because Tuesday is approaching soon and also the last day of March 2009. April 1st is April Fool's day. Be careful, don't be fooled. Even if being fooled, just have fun then. Life is too short to take it too seriously. Just laughed it off and life will be happier.

Everybody is clearing leave before our Financial Year end close, as required by my company. Fashionably yours is also clearing leave, so took the afternoon off today. Had lunch with Lemon-san. Thereafter we chilled out at the Paragon, chatted and laughed over drinks. Also dropped by for some official errands at Ngee Ann city before fashionably yours headed home sweet home, while Lemon-san headed back to the office.

Since fashionably yours was at Ngee Ann city, so decided to drop by Sephora to get my double compact mineral powder. It is my first time trying it out. Has anyone of you tried it ? If yes, please share with me your feedback. Thanks.

Fashionably yours passed by Holland V this afternoon and it was so quiet. I had a lovely afternoon. Very leisure and relaxing..........had a short nap on this nice and cooling weather once I reached home in the afternoon. Loving it. It is nice to have quiet afternoon.

Fashionably yours was at Holland V just now and got picked up again.

He : Do you know where is the nearest ATM ?
Me : Over there (turned around to point to the windmill mall direction).
He : Thanks. How do I address you ?
Me : It's alright
He : I am Alvin. Do you have a handphone no. whereby I can reach you ?
Me : It's alright.

I walked off after that. I think this Alvin must be very disappointed by my reply. Generally I don't give men whom I don't know, my contact no. If they are interested to get to know me, they could give me their contacts and/or name card. I will get in touch with them if I am keen to get to know them.

Anyway fashionably yours is so used to got picked-up by men and oh so many times. They are so interesting with different types of picked-up lines.

Third day of CNY & also 3rd day of the year of the Ox

Today is the third day of CNY and fashionably yours is off today to continue to enjoy the CNY. Still in CNY mood. Over enjoying myself with my families and love ones. It is nice to catch up with each other over good food and yummy CNY cookies with lots of laughters. Still have visitors coming over to our place for visiting today and we also did some more visitings today.

After our visitings are done, fashionably yours chill out at my favourite hangout. Yes, at Holland Village. Love the place.

Just now I just came to know that there was a naked couple who paraded along Lorong Mambong at Holland Village last Saturday night at about 2300 hour. It was a caucasian man with her Singaporean woman, believed to be in their 20s. Both were arrested an hour later by police and now are out on police bail while investigations are being carried out. Fashionably yours really loves her naked body too but will never display her naked body in public. However I don't mind to do it at the naked beach in Europe. It is against the law to be seen naked in the public in Singapore. If anyone found naked in the public in Singapore, can be fined up to SGD2,o00 or jail up to 3 months or both. Actually I was telling myself how come I was not at Holland Village last Saturday night to witness this naked scene. I missed it. I was busy preparing for CNY.

Glad fashionably yours has time to chill out now after all the visitings and meet the relatives session. Will be munching on more BBQ pork and pineapple tarts, as well as down with some beer and wine.

Got picked up AGAIN......

Yesterday fashionably yours chilled out at Holland V while running some errands in the afternoon. It was nice to see old friends there. Managed to get some errands done and did my groceries shoppings at the Cold Storage in the evening.

While I was with Nana, something funny happened. Fashionably yours was picked up again. I was looking at some beautiful necklaces, suddenly this man came up to approach me.

The interesting Pick-up conversation :

Man : Hi, I was looking at you just now and was attracted by you.

Me : Oh is it.

Man : You are very beautiful and I would like to get to know you. I am XXXX.

Me : Hi, I am XXXXX

(We shake hands)

Man : Are you married and a tai-tai ? I was looking at your rings you are wearing on your hands and you look like a tai-tai.

Me : Can I don't say it ? You will be disappointed if I tell you I am married and a tai-tai right ?

Man : Sure and yes. Can I buy you a drink and get to know you.

Me : I'm sorry I am not free now, have things to do.

Man : How can we keep in contact ?

Me : You can leave me your contacts and I will contact you.

Man : I have a pen but no paper.

Nana : I will contribute the paper.....Never in my 26 years, have I seen a local so daring to approach a lady. (lol)

So he leave down his contacts (mobile phone and email id) for fashionably yours but I did not give him my contacts. That is the way to handle those man approaching you, the lady, outside. Never exchange your contacts with them because you don't know their background. If you must leave, just leave your email contact will do.

I was in shocked because I was looking at some necklaces and suddenly this man approached me out of the blue. Initially I was thinking is he a film director, requesting me to appear in his movie....but it was not. He just want to get to know me. Urgh !

Of course, the first person I informed was my big. Told him about this incident and he gets nervous. LOL. My big was working hard at his office when I informed him on this. At least my big cares for me when he showed he was nervous.....but I think my big is full of confidence. I was thinking maybe after I told my big about this incident, my big will cancel his plans to fly off today. Not at all, after I assured my big that nothing is gonna happen and I will not date that man, still want my big to fly to run some errands for me back home in the States.

Well, I was thinking, at that hour in the evening, how come this man who approached me was so free to be at Holland V. Shouldn't he be at his office working hard at his career and job. My big is definitely 100 times better than him. Cannot fight with my big. I like man who worked hard at his career. That's also one of the reason why I love my big. My big is getting used to fashionably yours being picked up by men outside. My big will tease me about it but I know he is nervous deep inside his heart......hahaha. We are always teasing each other.

I know my big is a busy man with a demanding professional career and I really appreciate him talking to me while he is working. His time is expensive too. I try not to disturb him when he is busy at work. His small gestures and concerns towards me, means alot to me. Love is not measured by material wealth. I would prefer those small gestures, care and concerns for me though my big has no problem to shower me with material wealth. I feel my big is a man whose actions speak louder than words.

Magazine and Food

Yesterday Fashionably yours bought Her World magazine - Dec 2008 issue using my Kinokuniya cardmember 20% discount. It comes with a Free Clutch. It has five colours namely Red, Black, Green, Orange and Grey. I chose the Red one. I think the Red one is selling fast. Not many left while I was there.

Last night I had a bad headache (as blogged in my last post). It is not panadol that cures me. Guess what, it is a can of Heineken beer that cures my headache. I think I have tension headache due to my stressful work schedule for the past few weeks. Immediately after I drank the can of Heineken beer, it relieves my tension headache. Viola ! my headache is gone and I feel so relaxing and slept very well. However, I still prefer to drink Carlsberg and Hoegarden beer.

I just had some munching of tidbits this afternoon, but it is the healthy tidbits, while watching ugly betty.

Last evening, fashionably yours dropped by Cold Storage at Holland Village to shop for my grocery shoppings. Bought the Kettle brand chips, Salsa sauce, some chocolates, honey bake ham, a can of Heineken beer and a packet of cream of chicken soup. I enjoyed shoppings and chilling out at Holland Village. Saw three suave and good looking English men at Cold Storage. They are so cute, standing at the fridge choosing Magnum ice cream. At the cashier, another Englishman stirkes up a conversation with me, while I was in the quene. He is a friendly chap. Anyway I am always in contact with Englishman, or rather these friendly Englishman Caucasians expatriates like to be friend with me wherever I go. There are lots of expatriates at Holland Village, the place where I am putting up currently. Sometimes I feel like I am in Europe when I was hanging out there with the expatriates. Love the place and most of the shop owners know me since I am a regular there.

On a side note, Lemon-san commented that fashionably yours is speaking the American accent and slang, which he has difficulties understanding. My big's American accent is stronger than me, you bet. Lemon-san will have a hard time communicating with my big. Actually I am just speaking the proper English, I don't think it is my American accent.

Lovely Monday

Took the whole day off today to run errands. Very productive and very satisfied because mission completed.

Was chilling out at Holland Village this afternoon after my mission was done in the morning. It was a quiet afternoon at Holland Village compared to the crowds at night.






I met my friend Deena at Holland V this afternoon. She said I look so beautiful and very vogue. (As if I just walked out from a magazine cover). I am flattered to receive such good comments from her, the professional make up artiste, judging my make up. She said my make up is flawless.......OMG ! I am so happy and thanks Deena, you make my day :) I will keep on practice to perfect my makeup skills.

I also went for my grocery shoppings at the Cold Storage, bought some Carlsberg beer to stock up as usual. I love my beer, though trying to cut down before my beer belly develops. If beer belly develops, can join belly dancing class. Talking about belly dancing, I was thinking of taking up belly dancing, anybody out there can recommend me a good place to learn belly dancing. Thanks.

Oooppsss.....I bought a sexy and nice sun dress from my favourite friend's shop just now......she is like a friend to me because she always recommend and give me good stuff.....I like the dress very much. Actually just want to drop by to say hello and then saw the last piece of sun dress in my pink colour.....which is mine and meant for me because last piece and is new arrival......Thanks my dear friend :)

The benefits of hanging around Holland V and makes lots of good friends from the shops. Initially they are just shop owners, then as I always buy things from them and we become friends, so they will give me good stuff whenever I dropped by.

I love Holland V. A cool, hip and chic place. Feel nice to stay in the area. I think I am a regular at Holland V since I stayed around the area.......if you happen to see me chilling in Holland V, don't be shy to come up to me to say Hi to me.

Just now called the office and spoke to Billy as I have some issues on my password. I am on leave and still checking email......hahahaa.....the workahaolic in me. On a side note, Gerald also said that I am on leave today yet still checking email...... Thanks Billy for solving my password problem.......Happen to know from Billy that both Lemon-san and Jon-san are also on leave and not in the office today. OMG ! so many of us sitting in the same cubicle area in the office are on leave today. Must be very quiet and empty around our cubicle area today........Didn't know all of us are taking leave today.....it is just so coincidental.......

So how was everybody's Monday ? Hope it is a nice one though some might have Monday blues but Tuesday is coming and soon the midweek and soon is the weekend.......Alrighty, have an enjoyable Monday evening.
