Frasers Centrepoint Malls Share to Care Donation Drive

It is Chinese New Year (CNY) Eve.  Time to say goodbye to Mr Dragon and hello Mr Snake.  Yes we will be entering the year of the snake very soon.  Fashionably yours have been on leave the last few days and very busy with the spring cleaning and CNY preparations at home.  Phew ! finally all the spring cleaning has been done by Thursday afternoon.  Spent Friday doing grocery shoppings at the supermarket.  It was so crowded and most of the food supplies were being snatched up by consumers.  Seems like world war and people are stocking up their food supply.  Thank God I am able to grab the food stuff which I need from the supermarkets.

It has been raining these few days and the weather is so cooling.  One thing good about doing spring cleaning on rainy days is that one hardly sweat that much.  Fashionably yours feel so tiring after all the spring cleaning.  I cleaned my whole house all by myself, scrubbed every corner of the house and my two big bathrooms.  It was no easy feat and feel so tiring.  Nevertheless, the house is now spick and span.  We are ever ready for CNY and relatives CNY visitings now. Hope you are also done with your spring cleaning and CNY preparations by now.

On another note on charity drive, fashionably yours would like to encourage people to do some charity.  Let us not forget to help the less fortunate while we are celebrating CNY.  Your little effort mean so much to them and make a difference to their life.  You can do your part by going down to any of the Frasers Centrepoint Malls to donate.  Just SGD2/- for each charity coupon, you can help the less fortunate.  All proceeds will go towards helping social service programmes supported by Community Chest.  This Frasers Centrepoint Malls share to care donation drive is from 14 December 2012 to 22 February 2013.   The malls are :

The Centrepoint
Causeway Point
Compass Point
Northpoint
Changi City Point
Eastpoint Mall
China Square Central
Robertson Walk
Bedok Point
YewTee Point
Anchorpoint
Valley Point

So while you are doing your CNY shoppings, do drop by any of the abovementioned malls to buy a Ticket priced at SGD2.  Your little efforts go a long way.  Thank you in advance for your effort.

Yes of course fashionably yours have done my part in this donation drive, don't hesitate, now it is YOUR TURN.

Eve of CNY Eve

TGIF.  It is gonna be a super long weekend.  Yes the Chinese New Year long weekend.  Today is the eve of Chinese New Year.  Worked half day today since my company let all of us go home early.  Everyone is already in CNY mood at the office and don't feel like working.  Of course we tried to clear our work here and there before the CNY long weekend begins.   Orchard Road was so crowded by noon and we can't wait to get out of Orchard Road.  People are doing their last minute CNY shoppings.  It is also like this during Christmas.  Hope those shoppers got what they want by now from their shoppings.

Fashionably yours did some more marketing today.  These few days, the supermarket is like a war zone. Everyone is snatching for food and alot of stuff are out of stock very soon.  Luckily I have been stocking up my CNY food since last week.  This morning went grocery shopping at the supermarket again to finalise my CNY marketing.  OK now it is all done and packed nicely in my fridge.  Besides marketing, also did a final touched up for my spring cleaning at home.

Yippee ! all done and ready to celebrate CNY.  Let's countdown together to welcome the year of of the Golden Tiger.

Have a fabulous long weekend everyone.

CNY spring cleaning and preparations

CNY is about one week away, so everybody is busy spring cleaning now. Fashionably yours took the day off yesterday to do my long weekends of CNY spring cleaning and glad now all are done.  We are ready for Chinese New Year celebrations now with the CNY deco up in the house.  Feel so drained after the spring cleaning and CNY goodies shoppings at the supermarket. Still need to buy some more CNY goodies here and there. I am so proud of myself because I spring cleaning the whole house all by myself .  Also planning CNY menu and buying all the goodies. I am so housewifey material now.  My next occupation must be a sexy housewife (not desperate housewife) *lol*

During CNY nosy relatives like to ask nosy questions such as :

When are you getting married (if you are single) ?
When are your giving birth (if you are newly wed) ?
When are your going to have your 2nd child (after you had your 1st one) ?

Why are you so skinny ?
Why are you so fat ?
Do you have boyfriend/girlfriend ?

Fashionably yours is spared all of the above questions because my relatives are sick of asking me now.  They know I am independent and capable of earning my own keep, so they mind their own business.  Good luck to those of you not spared from the above questions.   In fact, I look forward to CNY  because I can see all my relatives to catch-up over good food and drinks.  Also the long Public Holidays.

Now some updates on my recent happenings besides CNY preparations.  Last Friday went with my 2 bestie gf buddies and L-san to 313 Somerset to eat Superdog for lunch.  It was my first visit to superdog and I like it.  I had the bacon ripper which is yummy and English breakfast tea.  I am very British because I love drinking tea though I drink coffee too.  I am more of a tea person.

My bacon ripper and English breakfast tea

After we were done with our lunch, we went shopping at Forever 21.  J-san wants to get a birthday present for her girlfriend, so we went together.  Ended up with fashionably yours bought a coral red necklace, G-san bought some earrings and J-san bought a necklace for her girlfriend and a bracelet for herself.  That is what happens when girls shop together and doing girlie stuff together.  However, we are happy with our purchases.  Then my two bestie gf buddies went back to office first while fashionably yours went to do some banking.  Love hanging out with my two bestie gf buddies doing girlie stuff together but G-san is leaving our company soon, so will miss her.  Then will be just me and J-san, we are the J and J team *lol*

J-san bought this cute thing for me last week.
Winnie the Pooh brush cleaner
Can clean keyboard and monitor.
Thanks J-san
Fashionably yours is taking this Manuka Honey UMF 15 daily now.  Actually bought it quite some time, then forgot to take it.  Therefore now continue to take it.  Are you taking any Manuka Honey now ?  If yes, please share with me which Manuka honey you are taking.  Thanks.

My Manuka Honey

Fashionably yours is now blonde.  My New Year, New Look.

So much so for the updates.....enjoy your spring cleaning and CNY preparations.  I am gonna stay happy and let the positive energy flows into me to welcome the Year of the Tiger.

Now I am gonna get some beauty sleep.  Nitey nitey and sweet dreams.

Carlsberg Beer & Mr Watermelon

Fashionably yours cannot resist a good can of Carlsberg. Oh la la.....ice cold beer to drink on such a hot hot hot day and night. It cools me down. I cannot survive without my Carlsberg.....give me my Carlsberg anytime please. Thanks.

I think Carlsberg can consider to advertise in my blog.....since fashionably yours is drinking it almost everyday. I need Carlsberg endorsement deal too. It is one of my favourite beer. I am drinking Carlsberg beer now while blogging....SHIOK !
Met an interesting caucasian man at a supermarket near my place yesterday, while fashionably yours was doing my grocery shopping. He was tall, riding his bicycle, wearing glasses, wearing a pair of sports shoe, wearing a riding helmet, and wearing an interesting T-shirt with some interesting Singlish wording printed behind his T-shirt....something about Kan Cheong or something....Excuse me, my Singlish isn't that great because most of the time I speak the American or Aussie English. Think he must be staying nearby. He initiated a conversation with fashionably yours while queneing at the cashier making payment. He was lining up behind me.
Our interesting conversation :
Him : Oh wrong amount ?
Me : Yeah, two can of Carlsberg beer cost $9.15 is ridiculous...It costs $3.05 per can. I told the cashier that the amount is wrong
(Excuse me, while I brought the cashier to the beer counter to see the price tag. Eventually the cashier apologised to me and told me that she keyed in as 3 cans instead of 2 cans).
Him : You have good feel for numbers.
Me : Yes I am very sharp for numbers. My job revolves around numbers
Him : That's good. Enjoy your beer.
Me : Thanks. Ice cold beer for a hot hot hot day is great. See you around.
Then I left the supermarket. I saw he bought a big watermelon, 2 loaves of bread, 5 apples in a pack and some vegetables.....very healthy food. I should have told him to enjoy his big watermelon....lol........and if he mind sharing it with me....I can treat him to a can of Carlsberg since I just bought 2 cans.
Will say Hi to him should I see him around. It was his interesting T-shirt that caught my attention to him. He was not bad looking......Hey Mr Watermelon (since I don't know your name), if you happen to read my blog, I am saying Hi to you, from the lady who bought 2 cans of Carlsberg beer. When are you free to buy me a drink ? Would like to get to know you. You know where to find me. Just wait for me at the supermarket where we met yesterday at about the same time. We'll meet there someday should we cross path. Nice chatting with you, Mr Watermelon.
I am just so friendly and sociable....can easily talk to anyone if you open up to me. So my dear silent readers, don't be shy, just say Hi to me and we can be friends. I seems to be attracting and making lots of Caucasians friends, especially men. Guess they are more open, just like fashionably yours.
Cheers :)
P.S. Mr Watermelon, fashionably yours love cycling....we can go cycling together someday.
P.P.S : OMG ! while on my way to the supermarket yesterday, the music store at the market started to play Chinese New Year song, even before Christmas and New Year are over......I heard Kong Si, Kong Si, Kong Si Ni, CNY song.....lol............

Magazine and Food

Yesterday Fashionably yours bought Her World magazine - Dec 2008 issue using my Kinokuniya cardmember 20% discount. It comes with a Free Clutch. It has five colours namely Red, Black, Green, Orange and Grey. I chose the Red one. I think the Red one is selling fast. Not many left while I was there.

Last night I had a bad headache (as blogged in my last post). It is not panadol that cures me. Guess what, it is a can of Heineken beer that cures my headache. I think I have tension headache due to my stressful work schedule for the past few weeks. Immediately after I drank the can of Heineken beer, it relieves my tension headache. Viola ! my headache is gone and I feel so relaxing and slept very well. However, I still prefer to drink Carlsberg and Hoegarden beer.
I just had some munching of tidbits this afternoon, but it is the healthy tidbits, while watching ugly betty.
The bottle of salsa sauce which I bought from Cold Storage
My packet of Yogurt & Green Onion Chips from Kettle brand
This brand is my favourite as it does not contain trans fat,
a healthy choice, though abit expensive
Yummy

Followed by drinking
my favourite Darjeeling tea

Last evening, fashionably yours dropped by Cold Storage at Holland Village to shop for my grocery shoppings. Bought the Kettle brand chips, Salsa sauce, some chocolates, honey bake ham, a can of Heineken beer and a packet of cream of chicken soup. I enjoyed shoppings and chilling out at Holland Village. Saw three suave and good looking English men at Cold Storage. They are so cute, standing at the fridge choosing Magnum ice cream. At the cashier, another Englishman stirkes up a conversation with me, while I was in the quene. He is a friendly chap. Anyway I am always in contact with Englishman, or rather these friendly Englishman Caucasians expatriates like to be friend with me wherever I go. There are lots of expatriates at Holland Village, the place where I am putting up currently. Sometimes I feel like I am in Europe when I was hanging out there with the expatriates. Love the place and most of the shop owners know me since I am a regular there.
On a side note, Lemon-san commented that fashionably yours is speaking the American accent and slang, which he has difficulties understanding. My big's American accent is stronger than me, you bet. Lemon-san will have a hard time communicating with my big. Actually I am just speaking the proper English, I don't think it is my American accent.

Chic Shopping

Was at my favourite supermarket - The Market Place at The Paragon doing my grocery shoppings yesterday. I love to do my grocery shoppings at the Market Place for their ambience. Sleek, Stylish and even Stunning ambience. Saw an advertisment on The Market Place the other day on the newspaper.

The advertisement

While I was there yesterday, there was a live band playing nice and jazzy music at the foyer at level 1.

I
I love to shop, wine and dine at the Paragon. It is very me and I like the ambience. Chic shopping indeed for yours truly.
