Christmas deco at Mandarin Gallery, Paragon and Ngee Ann City

Fashionably yours walked along Orchard road and saw this Christmas deco at Mandarin Gallery. It is so cute that I must take pictures. The sheeps are so fat that L-san called them body builder sheep. The cows are so thin that can see the ribs as what K-san told me. We all had a good laugh. However I find the deco is very nice, cute and like it. I like to see the fat sheeps.


I prefer the Christmas deco at Marina area than the Orchard area. The Christmas deco at Orchard Road seems like Deepavali deco.

Howdy dody.  How is everyone doing ?  Hope you are doing good.  Thanks for supporting my blog and reading it here regularly despite me not blogging for quite some time.  Will try to find time to blog as much as I can.  Feels good to be back here blogging now.

CozyCot has this campaign to surrender your bra for a good cause.  This is to help those less fortunate sisters in Southeast Asia.  Nicole Yee, Founder of CozyCot said: "There are many disadvantaged teens from countries like Bali and Cambodia, they live in very poor conditions and are badly in need of basic necessities which we, in Singapore, often take for granted. Giving a bra costs us nothing, but means a world of difference to another woman."

Lunch - Ayam Penyet

Went to eat Ayam Penyet for lunch with L-san, JJ-san and B-san just now.  It was not crowded and we got our seats immediately when we reached the restaurant at Lucky Plaza.

The sambal chilli is yummy which L-san and B-san like. JJ-san and I cannot take spicy stuff so we skipped the chilli.  Drinks we ordered are avocado for B-san, Lemon Squash for JJ-san, Joy Tea blackcurrant for L-san and Joy Tea apple for fashionably yours.  Yummy.  All of us ate till so full.

Courts at Orchard

Last time this building was occupied by John Little and now it is occupied by Courts.  Courts just opened last Wednesday at Orchard.  It was so crowded that I saw customers lined up early in the morning on last Friday even before they are opened. 

My colleagues bought the all in one printer at SGD48 and HP mini netbook at SGD379.  Yuan-san even bought an oven toaster at SGD20.  Wow ! so cheap.  However these offers was only on last Wednesday.  They have many offers everyday.  I did not buy anything though.

Beautiful Sunday

The weather is super hot nowadays and is as hot as up to 35 degree celsius.  Thus making me sweating like mad most of the time.  Thank God, it rained yesterday and today making the weather so nice and cooling.  Loving it.  I don't wish Sunday to end so fast especially with this nice and cooling weather. 

Fashionably yours watched two movies this weekend.  Yesterday I watched a Japanese movie Nada Sou Sou and today I watched an English movie Freaky Friday.  Though they are old movies, I enjoyed watching it and so relaxing.   Of course I managed to squeeze some time for a short afternoon nap in this nice and cooling weather just now.  Such a luxury.  Bliss.

Fashionably yours is so British at heart. I love drinking my hot cup of tea everyday.  The other day, I bought Dilmah Elegant Earl Grey from my favourite supermarket at The Marekt Place at The Paragon.

Easter Long Weekends

This is the long weekend in view of Good Friday, a Public Holiday.  Hope everyone is enjoying this long weekend.  The next Public Holiday will be one month later which is 1st May - Labour Day.  I read from the news that Universal Studio Singapore is full house because many people throng to Sentosa this long weekend.  I would not visit USS on weekend because so crowded and will be super long Q for the rides.  I don't like to squeeze with crowds so would choose to visit USS again on a weekday.  I really enjoyed myself at USS and so fairy tale at the castle.  Guess I am just so princessie (*blushing*). 

I don't understand why so many people like to go to Orchard during weekends.  Seems like they don't have other places to go.  As far as I am concern, I will avoid Orchad Road on weekends if I can avoid it, do not want to squeeze with the crowds, both human and traffic jam.  Afterall I am always in Orchard Road during weekdays.  It is my 2nd home :)

Pedicure, Hair Salon, Lunch, Shoppings and very leisure week

Gonna take things slow today.  It is a very hot Thirstday afternoon so fashionably yours rest and relax to chill out amidst my lush greenery surroundings. Feeling the caressing of the breeze on my soft and tender skin while I sipped my hot white tea and watching the world goes by.  I can hear the melody of the chirping birds while looking at my neighbour's swimming pool. In fact, I have early weekends this week.  Been enjoying myself since Tuesday.  Off from Tuesday to Thursday.  Here goes the updates while I am eating yogurt, burning my aromatherapy candle and having my favourite Winnie The Pooh bear by my side.  Here goes my happening updates.....

Tuesday afternoon I indulged myself for my luxury pedicure.  Had my sexy toe nails painted in a shade of pinkish red.  Loving it.

It was a very happening Wednesday.  On my way to meet bestie for lunch, fashionably yours fell down because of this man who walked behind me banged into my body at Somerset MRT station.  Both of us were lying on the floor. I couldn't get up for a while, so he helped me to get up. He keep asking me are you ok ? I'm so slim & fragile,so you think I am ok ? My body, right palm are so painful and right arm bleeds abit due to the scratches. I can remember his face, a tall caucasian man. OUCH ! crying.  I am so slim and don't have fats to cushion the fall, so painful. He must be so smitten by me that he didn't watch out where he was walking. This is so drama. I was in shocked.  One moment I was walking and the next moment I was lying on the floor. Some people just stood there and looked at the 2 of us. They thought we were filming. So cartoon.  Luckily I did not broke any bone.  I was so worried last night and began to wonder will I have any internal injury.  Crossing my fingers hoping it is just bruises and nothing serious. My palm was a bit swollen from the fall but now is ok after my bestie gave me 1st aid using ice on it to reduce the swelling. Hoping the aching will go away soon.   I was thinking if I am pregnant and this man banged into me and caused me to fall down, that would be terrible.  Now we have to be careful of the people walking around us, they can bang into us even if we are careful.  After I recovered from the shock, met up with bestie and proceed to lunch at Ichiban boshi.

We requested for a glass of ice for me to relieve my swelling palm from the fall from the staff.  It took them more than ten minutes to serve us a glass of ice.  We enjoyed our lunch though by now we are so sick of eating there  Don't think we will eat there again for quite some time.  Time to eat other food at other restaurants.  We ate and chatted happily.  Interesting and enjoyable.  Afterwhich we took a stroll down to Wisma Atria because I need to redeem some vouchers.  The weather was hot, so we tried to walk under the shade whenever possible.  Actually bestie was supposed to go together with me to the salon to do our hair, but she had another appointment, so she will do her hair next month.  Meanwhile I proceed to the salon to do my hair.  Fashionably yours had a great time at the hair salon yesterday though miss bestie company's at the salon.   Loving my new hairdo, so chic.  Will take picture and post picture soon, so stay tune to my blog.  Cut away all the bad luck (since I fell down).  Now all the good luck come to me. New hairdo for the Lunar New Year. New Year, New Look. All the good luck come to me.  I want to win tomorrow night's SGD10 million TOTO.  Everybody HUAT.

Bascially today I just wanna rest alot since I fell down yesterday.  My auntie and uncles came to my place for CNY visiting too.  Yes we are still celebrating CNY and visitings.  It is like this when we have big families.  Was nice catching up with my uncle and aunties this morning.  Besides, fashionably yours also accomplished many tasks today. 

Last week, I passed by Nature Republic at 313 Somerset and bought some of their products to try out.  After using their toner for a week, I find their toner is not bad.  I still need more time to try out the sun balm though initial usage was so so only.  Anyone out there using Nature Republic products ? Feel free to share your experience and feedback with me.  Thanks.

OUCH ! still feel so sore and body aching now due to the fall.  Miserable feeling.  Hoping to recover soonest possible.  Tomorrow will be back to my office to clear some works, catch up and have fun with my buddies.  Afterall everyone will be on weekend mood mode.  From March onwards, gonna be madness because lots of projects in the pipelines for fashionably yours.  Will try not to think about it.  One thing at a time.

Had lunch with G-san and Lemon-san at Shokudo at Heeren just now. It was not crowded at all.  We had the set lunch at SGD4.80 per set before GST.  It was so-so only.

After we had our lunch, Lemon-san and G-san bought each a cup bubble tea. As fashionably yours is not a fan of bubble tea, so I skipped.  Three of us proceed to John Little sales and fashionably yours bought my toiletries enjoying 20% discount for cardmembers.  Very crowded but Lemon-san helped me to quene up first while I went to grab my stuff.  G-san bought two hand towels.  I wanted to buy the mouth rinse but the cashier cannot scan for me as they have some problems with the scanners, so I will go back to buy tomorrow.  Hoping the quene will not be so long tomorrow.

Thereafter G-san and Lemon-san went back to office while I make my way  to the Pharmacy to check it out my eye drops price out of curiosity but they do not carry this eye drops.  Fashionably yours has my eye blood vessel burst so I went to consult my company doctor in the morning after my colleagues persuaded me to see the doctor. I also don't know why my eye blood vessels can burst. It is abit red and straining, so the doctor advised me not to rub my eyes and gave me the eye drops Optovisc which I diligently apply.  The doctor said to be patience to give myself 2 weeks at least to recover.  I only discovered my eye blood vessel burst when I was applying my eye make up in the morning.  Sigh.....

It is such a blessing to work in town because we can eat at restaurants during lunch hour and shopping during lunch hour.  So it is like work, lunch, tea and shoppings.  Work cum leisure...very nice.  I also had bought a nice green blouse at New Look@313 Somerset at a steal of SGD3.70 while I was just passing by the store on my way back to office after lunch.  

It has a sudden downpour this afternoon and the weather is so cooling now.  Luckily the rain has stopped and I am making my way out of the office to home sweet home to rest my eyes soon.

Lunch time retail therapy

Yesterday the shopaholic in me hit the mall again and had an enjoyable retail therapy at OG Orchard during my lunch hour.  Shopped happily.  Actually just to purchase what I need for my daily use.  The rule applies - buy what you need, not what you want. Budget, budget budget......Fashionably yours bought a new bling bling handphone pouch.

Besides this handphone pouch, also bought a bottle of Fancl Limited Editon Mild Cleansing Oil which comes in a beautiful pink bottle and a free small bottle of cleansing powder.  This is my favourite make up cleansing oil....love it....Lastly bought some lingeries before returning to office to work. 

It was such a breeze to shop because it was not crowded at all.  No quene at cashier too. I really love my new handphone pouch.  Looking at it brings smile to my face.

TGIF - 2nd Friday of July 2009

TGIF. Time to rest and relax after a hectic week at work. Now drinking my hot cup of Lipton tea while I udpate my blog.

Last Tuesday evening fashionably yours finally make time to go for my pedicure session which I totally enjoyed and loved. Told dearie I am so lazy and tired to go for my pedicure session but my dearie told me not to be lazy. Being a good girl and not to be lazy, I make my appointment and went for my pedicure session.

Had my sexy toes painted in a shade of OPI sexy red which I love.

On my way home after my pedi session, fashionably yours was picked up again at Lido. This man wants to get to know me and he approached me and ask where he has met me before, said I looked familiar. However fashionably yours has no impression at all. I declined and walked away after a brief exchange with this man who wants to get to know me. Told dearie about it, who was at that time was drinking with his KL friend who visited Singapore for one night only for a quick hello. Dearie had a good laugh over it and he seems amused by it.

Last Wedneday afternoon fashionably yours and L went to ION Orchard. At first we thought alot of shops have opened but when we reached there, it is only LV at ION Orchard that is open as at now. We shopped at LV at ION Orchard for a while. They have two floors, no lift and more sales staff than customers. Abit cumbersome to climb those staircase in my high heels. They must install a lift inside their store for the tai tais who are mostly wearing high heels. I find it a luxury to have lift inside the luxury store. Cartier and Bvlgari have one inside their store which I find is conveniennt though it is only two floors but you must know your customers are the high end tai tais wearing their high end heels such as Louboutin and Manolo Blahnik. Why make them so tiring by climbing the staircase. Should pamper them and let the tai tais enjoy their shoppings. When they are happy, they will buy more from the store and you make more money. After climbing the staircase, the tai tais may feel so tired and cannot concentrate on their shoppings. Something the retailers should take note of speaking as a true blue shopaholic and the tai tais represenetative.

Now fashionably yours is under the weather and needs lots of TLC and beauty sleep. Guess have been partying and clubbing too hard and not enough time to rest. For now just want to let my body rest, rest, rest and more rest. A quiet weekend to rest and relax to recuperate. I find that beauty sleep is such a luxury to fashionably yours and it is most precious than any other expensive skincare or cream that you can buy. Trust me when you sleep well and enough, you will look very radiant and have good skin, provided you also drink enough h20 too.

Just now had my favourite seafood soup bee hoon for lunch. Yummy.

Fashionably yours has been eating my favourite fruits - banana and guava. Yummy :)


Healthy living and eat healthily. Eat clear soupy foodie, eat lots of fruits and drink lots of healthy fluid (minus the alcohol and liquor) will give you a healthy and slim body. However, if you want to grow fat, then can indulge yourself in lots of fried food and soon your face & body will look fat and ugly.

Looks like the weather is rather cloudy and windy this evening. This makes a nice weather for fashionably yours to take a short nap for my beauty sleep. I have just finished drinking my hot cup of Lipton tea. So now is beauty sleep for fashionably yours which is really a luxury to me. I just want a quiet weekend to rest and relax after partying and clubbing so hard for the past few weeks.
